Hello everyone and HAPPY OCTOBER! If you've been playing along for any amount of time, you'll see that this month is the 50th MISTI Monday challenge!!!!! Congratulations to you all!
Without you, this challenge wouldn't be so fun!
Going with a 50s theme, this month's challenge is to create a card using gold (or yellow) in your design. Gold is the traditional color of 50th Anniversaries. You can use metallic paper, gold or yellow gold embossing powder, gold thread, etc....any touch of gold is great!
My card uses a couple companies....The Greetery, Concord & 9th and Lawn Fawn. I used my MISTI to stamp my sentiments on and also used the grid for placement. My gold is the golden light coming from my home's windows. They look all aglow!
I'm early posting this month as I'm going to see the Rolling Stones in concert tonight. So excited! This will probably be the last concert of theirs in my town....but I guess you never know!
Thank you all for participating and I can't wait to see your cards! They are ALWAYS all so beautiful!
Good Luck! MISTI Monday

What a beautiful card, MISTI Monday. Wow! 50th challenge! Thank you so very much for your generosity and creativity. I do hope I get to participate in this very special challenge.
Here is my Fall Flying card. I didn't use the MISTI as I used an old image that was stamped before I had a MISTI. This doesn't have gold but does have yellow. Maybe I will get another chance to play later in the month and can use gold on that one.
It's impressive to have had this very generous challenge for 50 months! Thank you!

What is a good ink to use on gold cardstock? As the days have passed the Memento Black ink has lightened, I need to replace the scallop on my card but I don't know what is a better ink to use!

I would suggest Versafine or Versafine Clair. Now, after stamping move it without touching so it can dry. This is a pigment ink that needs time to dry. I tend to heat set it after stamping or else add clear embossing powder. Your card is still pretty with the Memento ink, Faye.
Good Morning Ladies--I have two cards for this challenge.
Thank You Sweet Friend uses Rose Gold Embossing Powder and I always use my MISTI to get good coverage when using Versamark. I usually stamp 2-3 times.
And, then another card that showcases many fall colors using alcohol ink, including gold Autumn Colors I love to use my MISTI when stamping sentiments to be sure to get full coverage.
Thanks MISTI for sponsoring this monthly challenge and for your generosity in the gift certificate too! I love my MISTI and am so happy it was invented by Iliana!
Gold edges using metallic rub ons and gold stenciling along with gold heat embossing on my butterfly!
I used my mini MISTI to stamp the butterfly on first, using the MISTI allowed me to get a good impression of the Versamark to have the gold embossing powder adhere to the card bg. Also, used the MISTI to line up my stencil to get could coverage, used the magnet to help hold the stencil in place, with the stencil in the corner of the MISTI! Easy peasy with the MISTI as your extra hands!
Hello November!!! How are you all this November evening? Did you have a good October? Mine was eventful, I guess. Lots of people in my family were in the hospital. Not from COVID, but other medical issues...so my October went fast.
All of your cards are soooo pretty this month! I can't believe we just had our 50th challenge! Thank you all for participating!
This month's winner is....johnsopa's Fall Sympathy in Yellow gold! Congratulations! I'll message you to get your prize to you!
Thanks so much everyone! I'm so excited for November!!! I hope you join me.
Love, MISTI Monday

I am playing Challenge cardmaking, and hopefully, doing some catching up...some are old...some are newer. This is a February birthday card for a long-time friend that we've not been able to see during Covid!
As required, I've used lots of metallic gold paper!
