Anne, SCS jdmommy, has requested this week's teaparty for her cousin, Marion. Marion recently had a melanoma removed. Though malignant, she will need no further treatment. Marion, a retired nurse and very kind hearted, thoughtful person, has tended to so many patients over the years. Anne thought it would be a nice gesture to pay it forward and shower Marion with compassion while she recuparates at home. Scripture and spiritual cards are welcome. Marion also likes flowers.
Send cards to:
Marion Prescott
3403 Leighton Dr.

Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.

I forgot to say that I'm going to my daughter on Thursday morning, so it's possible you'll need to wait for comments because I'm not sure she's got internet connected.
Yes, I just changed that in my card upload title. Luckily I hadn't written the card, but I had printed the address label, so I realised as soon as I saw that. But thank you, Anita.
When I saw that title, I am reminded of the ads I used to see in Dutch magazines (Libelle and Margriet) that said 'Zeg het met bloemen'. Perhaps they still use this saying. I will try to make a card later today. Great theme!

Yes you're right!! and it's still used!! say it with flowers, can be used for Mother's day, Christmas, Eastern and so on...do you know some flowers are special, like fresia they are for new Mothers (kraamvrouw bloemen) because they smell so well
And, since Ann has such a sense of humor, I decided to add a little into my card to Texas with some little Gina Marie snowflake die cuts. So, when Marion opens her card- snowflakes from up North will come showering out of the card- (even though it is not snowing here yet). Everyone from the South is always asking us to send some cool air down.......!!!
I'm on away on vacation, will do a card when I return! Better late than never??! :-)

Couldn't figure out how to get this picture from my email to this forum, but here at last are the cards sent to my dear cousin Marion. Thanks to all who filled her mailbox with cheer!!
P.S.Since I couldn't find a way to add the picture without putting it in the gallery, a mod told me to move it, so it's gone.

Anne, it is heartwarming to see the response from teapotters. Plus I am always happy to see that my card actually arrived at the destination and didn't end up in a dead letter office somewhere . . .lol . . i usually just cross my fingers and hope the Pony Express from El Paso still works (most of the time).

It's great to hear that Marion enjoyed her teaparty so much.
I'm sorry about the photo, Anne. Adding using the image icon has been broken for several weeks now, but whoever suggested deleting your photo from the gallery should have advised you that it's still possible to use the old-school paperclip or manage attachments option to share photos in the threads. That's what we have had to do with the TEAser recently. Sure hope they roll out the new upgrade soon!
To the lovely teapotters........I made an Album that contains the cards you sent to my cousin for the challenge on the 15th of September. If you would like to see it, it's at the top of my gallery. Thanks to you all!
