Lynn the angel is beautiful, you are really on a roll
Ina Steve had so many problems to deal with kids glue sniffing when he was working, he had to go around schools to try to show how dangerous it was and the effects, ive no doubt you’ve dealt with stuff like that being a nurse, it used to shock me the things they would sniff to her high, it was rife in England twenty odd years ago, now the problems with drugs are even worse all over the world
You are right Ina. I had my window open and the fan on. But it was cut on the cricut and trying to get glue in all the little spots meant I had to be close. I would put the glue on the back of a piece then had to get close to align everything. Then when smoothing it down I would get glue all over my hands and of course have a sneezing fit. I think I had to scrub my hands at least 4 times. My precision glue tip was full of hard glue or else it would have been easier.
It is a crazy day! It was supposed to be the Santa Claus parade.. No parade. They are going to do a virtual event on December 5.
A storm front just went through with crazy high winds. Fortunately nothing went flying. I have everything tied down.
Grumpy went through the storage locker with me. I am doing a winter scene on my server. No tree this year. The luggage is put away and if grumpy decides to put up any decorations I have plenty.
I have a big bag of kitty litter in my trunk, the gravel kind. This will give me traction if I need it. I have a shovel..blankets..extra mitts..extra hat..etc. I am prepared for snow.
Waving and popping in to say hi. Lynn when I use alcohol inks I have to use them outside as the fumes are lethal. I read they aren’t good for the lungs and I don’t need anymore issues with mine.
About to pack. Got a lot on today and we leave early tomorrow. I’ll post some photos on the photography thread when I can so you can see where we are and more of our State. I’ll also pop on when I can.
Did I tell you that the next State to ours now has cases..typical when we just opened our border. They are having to quarantine when they get here and people aren’t happy. I say we should close it down again. I’m sure our Premier will if the numbers go up.
Well that’s me done. For now. Must start doing some jobs. Have fun

Jayne why are people returning after all this time, weren’t they allowed to return home?
We had three new cases yesterday and two deaths in Mazarron, the deaths were both in their eighties, so sad, we have one more week of partial shut down but I hope the extend it hike there’s still new cases popping up.

Jan, the returning travellers are from overseas. Yep there’s still thousands of stranded aussies still trying to get back home. There’s not a lot of flights coming in. They only brought in 30 a day..not sure if that’s increased and friends had to return from the uk and pay for first class seats. A lot of airlines are taking advantage.
The people coming over our border are either west aussies returning from other states or people just wanting to travel around again in their caravans. A lot of families are reuniting too. We have west aussies now able to go to some other states too although I think SA will be a quarantine for 14 days when people return now. Not sure whether in a hotel or at home. They did say people must have a Covid test on coming in and again at 11th day if from SA. We have so many strict rules.
It was the same pre Covid. I remember the days when quarantine staff used to come on board the plane and spray the plane before we were allowed off lol. That stopped a few years ago. We have strict laws where you can’t bring certain food in, no fruit.....not even from other States, no wooden objects..unless they are checked...all kinds of stuff is banned. I once brought some pot pourri mix from the UK in a bag I had bought at a lovely shop in Leeds and I had to declare it and was told it would cost me $50 to have it sprayed. It only cost me a couple of quid lol so they took it off me and would have discarded it. Whenever we go travelling now I have to think of whether I can bring something back. It keeps our State safe from certain bugs. I’ve seen some sights on returning at the customs area...people with suitcases of meats and all kinds of food and being taken off them. Why would people do that knowing the rules. There’s huge fines and can include imprisonment if someone breaks the rules.

I remember planes being sprayed when we returned from Turkey
I know California are strict on fruit etc, we don’t take anything there that is not allowed, it’s not worth being fined, when they started the no liquids rule you should have seen the idiots trying to take through water bottles, one man had skin lotion and when they took it off him he started to rub it in his legs and arms while we were all lined up behind him.
Mind you we bought some vertical blinds back from England in our hand luggage, nothing wrong with that but they were rolled up into a circle and they have weights on the bottoms, on the scanner all they could see was a huge roll with straight pieces all along it, he laughed when he made us open the case but we understood why he wanted to look, never even thought about what it would look like on the scanner LOL
A friend put a hair spray canister in the hand luggage, in SF, they emptied the case and we all had to sit away from each other while they went through the whole suitcase, the funny thing was she put it in her husbands hand luggage and he is bald,
I went to see my doc for my monthly refills and made the nurse laugh! She loved the Mickey mouse ornament. I went to Michaels for a new smaller size trimmer. The 6inch Fiskars crosscut just doesn't work that great any more. I was making so many mistakes cutting my planner stickers. I found a Christmas paper pack to make the advent calendar. Then I went and got cute slippers on sale. Grumpy called on the way home so he got Swiss Chalet to eat at his place. It was so bad! The fries were old and barely reheated. Yuck. Oh I made a bunch of the mask ornaments for grumpy's pod.
Grumpy is a happy boy! I made a sirloin roast, roasted root veggies and small potatoes. He wasn't able to eat with me but he will have at least 2 meals. Oh! I got Scottish shortbreads. I took one and he has the rest of the tin.
I guessed the first masked singer to be eliminated tonight but I didn't guess who was behind the mask. One more to go! Wouldn't it be funny to have one if them be an ordinary how schmo that wasn't famous at all and have everyone say who the heck is that? !! I imagine if it is someone famous that no one really knows, that would be so embarrassing!
Lynn, sorry I did not post earlier. I received your cute ornaments on Wednesday. Thank you so much. Thay ate adorable. I am sure my grandsons will like them.

Sniw for sure! It was slushy driving on my way home from church. I'm very thankful for snow tires.
Yesterday, I finally got around to posting a few Christmas cards to my gallery. I'll maybe get some more cards posted this afternoon, as I am staying inside the rest of the day.
