Sis Vicki it’s so lovely to hear from you and to hear that you are recovering, even if it is slower than you want. I think we are all impatient after surgery to get back to normal but just make sure you do as you are told!!!
We’ve missed you here on SCS so take care and get back as soon as you are well.
Yeah! I was feeling good today! I got to the post office and the package is on its way! It was so nice, yesterday my son would not let me get out of the car till he had come around to my side! Yes he is very good. We learned a lot when I had my spinal surgery. I am much better at listening to him when he tells me to take it easy. I had trained Kerra to poke my leg when my blood sugar used to go low. She was very good. Just different living alone.
Anyways. Vickie! Yeah! Glad you are feeling better! One time I was in the hospital and my vein collapsed. A nurse came in to do another IV but she went into the bone. I started being difficult.Eventually hats
Eventually they brought in ananesthesia.. Uuuggh stupid computer. I told him that he had one shot.. If it didn't work I got to do one on him. He hit the bone too! They put me on pediatric drinks instead.s
Happy Tuesday and good to hear that Sis Vicki is healing well and also Lynn.
Enjoy your day

Good morning, at least, it is morning here. It's raining sgain, so I am happy that I got most of my lawn mowed yesterday. It will be an indoor work today. I am still cleaning out the spare room/storage room.
Sis Vicki, I am pleased that you are on the mend, but that IV episode should not have happened. When I was working, if I did not see or feel a vein, I would not attempt it. And that did not happen often, as I was very good at it. But zi will also add that when I had my catarac surgery, I did not have an IV inserted, only tranquilizers by mouth.
Lynn, you sound much better. That is very encouraging. I have have personally seen how much Grumpy cares for you and and how kind he is.

Update. I saw my doc. With the numbers I was able to pull together, my doc thinks the blood pressure issue was caused by chronic lack of sleep. I do not cook with salt.. My potassium's is good and I have been on the same meds. What changed is that when we increased my antidepressants my sleep went to less than 3 hours a night.
So since I average about 4.5 hours of sleep a night, based on metrics from my sleep tracker, then I will continue on a very low dose of blood pressure medicine. I will continue to check my bp. Grumpy found me a monitor that will give you averages. I showed my doc and he is very happy. I am allowed to get back to getting things done. If I don't sleep then stay home..which is what I do anyway.
So good thing is that I keep track of things. I have a journal for medical stuff. So yes everything gets written down. My tracker tracks my steps but also my sleep. Since Amazon botched my order so badly and sweet pea DEALT with them I got a full refund and they told me to keep the mislabeled bp monitor. It was a brand new basic bp monitor with a small cuff so I brought it to the nurse at my doc's office and it will be going to a needy family. Big win!
Wow...I don't think we have a tax credit for that.
Happy Wednesday everyone. Just saying a quick hi as I need to get to my craft room and create otherwise I could spend all day chatting online LOL.
Enjoy your day

There was no notice about the celiac tax credit. My neighbors daughter just got diagnosed so I was doing some research for her. She is a great graphic designer with a quirky sense of style who puts up with me.
Hi ladies. This morning I had a full challenge, ready to post, when it disappeared. I'll try again. I think you all know how much I enjoy gardening. Flower gardening, that is. Veggies don't do too well here, as ther are too many bunnies running around. For lack of veggies, they have started to eat the freshly emerged annual poppies, and the phlox, but there are enough of them, that I won't miss them.
Well, on to the chalkenge. It just so happens to be 'water a flower' day (wher do they come up with these things?) Anyway, at this time of year my favourite flowers are lily of the valley. I love them for their delicate flowers, deep green leaves, and glorious fragrance. I would like you all to share your favourite flower. If you do not have a stamp of it, create a card/project with another flower, but tell us what your favourite is. My sample will be in the next post, as that is where my issue came from earlier.

I know that Jayne is already planning for her scheduled challenge hostess spot on June 20. I am really looking forward to another point of view.
I am again actively seeking volunteer, especially for July. The dates are July 11, and July 25. July 11 is the most need, as that week I am in DVBS/soccer camp, and am leading a group, as well as putting on skits each day.
Any takers?

Kathy, I am unable to edit the card I uploaded and I did not check it carefully and put in the wrong keyword. Would she be able to help me, or is this a com,pn issue right now?

I haven't heard anything, but with Lynn having photo uploading issues, I'm thinking maybe its a new problem. I will go check out the technical forum and see if anyone is reporting issues.
Thank you Kathy! It has been a while and with my memory issues I wanted to be certain.
I am having a Lynn day.. Less than 3 hours sleep again. I just got a note that my stuff sold well except for the stamps. Two people priced theirs really cheap. But the big bag of embossing folders all sold. I gave them feedback about how well they did everything.
My temp hubby. Yes he is sick. I just can't afford to help him. I will drop some food off. Getting sick would not be good.
Thanks Kathy I couldn't find the forum. Then again I just did laundry and forgot the detergent!
OK everything in me is telling me to go take care of my temp hubby. But if he is sick.. Then I will get sick and I am allergic to almost all antibiotics. Someone shoot me!
Happy Friday...just a quick hello to you all as I have been online nearly 2 hours so hubby tells me and I haven't touched the surface. I also tried to post a photo and it wouldn't accept it. Hope they fix the glitch soon.
Take care everyone....poppets coming all day and for a sleepover tomorrow..yay..so I may be offline for a day or two.. Bye for now.

Ina, did you write me in for July 11? I'm thinking it will be S2S19AA? Just making sure you saw my post. If someone else already took it, just let me know.
unfortunate news from Mo's Digital Pencil
****************************
THE NOT-SO-GOOD NEWS
The reason I had to block casual (unregistered) visitors from seeing my image samples without logging in, is that my watermarked sample images are being stolen, traced, and poor quality acrylic versions are being sold on Chinese sites like ********** and Wish. This is happening nearly as quickly as I can draw an image. Within two days after put up a new digital stamp -- I'm finding it in these for sale in ********** shops. (Many of you may have seen me and others talking about it on Facebook recently.)
I have no idea if restricting access to the front page of my shop is going to help stop thieves at all-- but I'm giving it a try while all of us in the business who are affected try to figure out what else we can do to stop the theft of our hard work. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is a nail in the coffin for artists and designers and even small companies who are trying to supply new artwork to crafters.
I have achieved! Woohoo! I have portable air conditioner so I don't need to call my son to install them in the window. When you buy a portable ac unit you get an exhaust hose and a window kit. Well my exhaust hose fell apart. I have been searching everywhere! After a call to EDMONTON! Yup Alberta! I was told I could find a hose 20 minutes from me. After interesting language issues I basically put the hose on the desk. Things went much quicker from there and I am home for the day.
OK spoke to grumpy. The weather is cool for June and they just turned off the heat. I question everything when I start on a new med.
Last weekend they cleaned the DVP. Today it was closed for the ride for heart. All good except cat started trying to wake me at 8am. I fell asleep at 4am. Anyone want a cat?
Had to move my car to the street because they will be cleaning the underground parking starting early tomorrow morning. So I am in for the day and gonna work on cleaning.
Ina must be busy or away. I don't know if she's put me in for July 11 or not, but I went ahead and made two samples. Even if that spot is taken, I'm sure something will be open at a later date so my samples won't go to waste.
Sorry ladies. I was with my grandkids in Niagara Falls for the weekend. My grandson had a lacrosse tournament. Had a great time at the indoor waterpark with the kids, and now my skin is super itchy from all the chlorine in the water, despite several showers and lotion applications.
I will get the schedule updated, and yes Kathy, I still need you for July 11th. Thanks so much.

Went to the other end of town to Lee Valley tools today. I LOVE that store! Spent a while talking to 2 ladies about pie crusts. Got some stuff. There was a Walmart around the corner so I got my steps in. Standing in the check out which was going no where looking at the washroom just a few feet away!!! Soo close! I asked one of the ladies to watch my cart cause I just couldn't hold it! The lady behind me said sure as long as you watch mine afterwards! Lol then all of us had a nice long talk about the joys of waiting in line.
I am back from my passenger trip with my favorite cousin! It had hiccups but not one when we went into Canada!
1 sick favorite cousin produced 2 ER visits...one in Niagara Falls, one in my little home town on our return (she had decided to not return to NF)
Also it produced the need for the passenger to become a driver! Bridges, large cities and freeways are not my friends!!!
We were at several quilt stores, the Ark Encounter, Niagara Falls (USA and Canada), Corvette Museum, Hancock's of Paducah and then the 2 ERs. Nine days of experience for learning purposes if not pleasure!!!!
I hope to play "ketchup" next week in the stamp room. I left a clean house (except my husband had to vacuum after I left) and I came home to a clean house...so the mess of the house is mine!
Stress lodged in my sciatica, chiro helped a smidge but need another adjustment tomorrow...making wise food choices while gone produced a 4-pound weight loss!

Happy Wednesday everyone...in a nutshell I’ve been in bed since Monday. Today is a much better day and I’m finally catching up on the chat.
Good to see you back Faye and safely. It sure was an adventure for you.
Ina, thanks for the challenge, I’ve added it to my list. I’ve started to think about my challenge and will do some samples next week.
If I could get rid of the whoosing and pain in my ears I’m sure I would feel better. At least my headache and heavy limbs have gone today. I hardly moved yesterday and only got up briefly to eat something...starve a fever, feed a cold my mum always said.
Poppet day and sleepover went well and we made swords and shields out of cardboard and used EFs and lots of gold, silver and different coloured paints and textures. They had such fun. My craft room still has to be cleaned up but it can stay as it is for now. I’ve had no desire to craft and my goodies from SSS are still sitting on our dining room table.
So that’s my news ladies...I’m cancelling out this week and just need to get well, I don’t do being sick well and already feel I’ve wasted 3 days of my life. Now my headache has gone I will read a little.
Hope everyone is ok. There seems to be a lot of colds and flu around.

Jayne, I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope it doesn't last four weeks like mine did! It does seem that everyone has been catching it lately. I'm just very happy DH and DS didn't catch mine! Happy and surprised, as sick as I was. I wore a mask a lot and wiped doorknobs and anything else I touched, so that may have helped.
I saw on TV that a couple that were vacationing got sick and died! No one knows yet what happened, but they are checking other people they have come in contact with to see if anyone else has symptoms.
I was feeding outside kitties today and found a tick in their food dish! I had just washed their dishes this morning because they were looking pretty dirty. I smashed the tick. No one wants bitten by a tick. I saw on TV that a four year old was bitten and came down with rocky mountain spotted fever! Poor little fellow was really sick. Temp was 105° at one point. He was in a coma, but I think they induced it for some reason. Maybe to help with brain swelling. I don't remember hearing about ticks years ago.
Thanks Kathy. I’m feeling a lot better than I have the past couple of days and just have a slight cough now and blocked painful ears. Funnily my nose hasn’t run much at all but yesterday I ached everywhere. I just wish my nose would run and unblock everything.
We’ve had a few deaths in Oz with the flu already, mainly children and the elderly. It’s a pretty bad strain this year apparently. our poppets even had flu vaccinations last week. We are still waiting for ours. I also wipe down everything I touch and wash my hands lots. I’ve been in bed most of the time and hubby has been playing nurse so he’s been handling food, etc. today I felt like eating. Yesterday I just nibbled but am drinking lots. I also hope no one else here catches it. We went for our flu jabs too last Friday and they have run out of vaccine in our State so we are now waiting until they get more...crazy...never known this to happen but in hindsight I think I already was coming down with it. Having the poppets and lack of sleep last week and weekend I don’t think helped. Still it could be worse.
Gosh I wonder what the couple had..that’s so sad.
I never heard about ticks until I came to live here. I saw your photos..eek. I’m always checking myself now lol.
Thanks again. Take care. Sleep well.
