The thread about SU's in colors got me thinking. What would you like to see SU do for their next color shakeup? I would really like to see:
Old Olive replaced with Lucky Limeade
Elegant Eggplant or Perfect Plum with Concord Crush (Please!)
Soft Suede replaced with Baked Brown Sugar
Rose Red replaced with Raspberry Ripple
Garden Green replaced with Gumdrop Green
And if they wait long enough, I'd also be fine with:
Rich Razzleberry replaced with Blackberry Bliss
Always Artichoke with Mossy Meadow
Crushed Curry replaced with Hello Honey
And I'd also be happy if somehow they kept Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding, though I don't know what they'd replace.

Honestly, I wish they would stop retiring perfectly good colors. I'm really tired of it. Gumball Green, Pacific Point, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade, Concord Crush, just to name a few. All of these are beautiful. Why are they gone?

Pool Party and Pacific Point are still regular colors....
I would be very upset if Soft Suede retired. I Love this color -along with Brown Sugar of course.
Soft Suede is fairly new, wasn't in the last color change.

I wish they would bring back Handsome Hunter. I actually still have some paper left and my ink pad has survived so far too. Though I only pull it out at Christmas, I miss this color in the regular line up.
Since someone else mentioned it; I'd be happy if they retired Perfect Plum and brought back Lavendar Lace. I think with Eggplant and Wisteria is the line up a very pale Lavendar would be good.
Regal Rose has been around a long time, and I could see replacing it with Strawberry Slush.
Old Olive has also been around a while, maybe put in Mossy Meadow.
I think two pale pinks is unnecessary, I think they could lose Blushing Bride, I like Pink Pirouette better, and they could put in a pale yellow. Not the banana color we had before....something more pure yellow, but very, very pale.
I think this has been an issue with SU since before I joined eons ago! I still have colors that are retired that I LOVE but when they finally get all "inked out" it sure is a sad day! We need some "throwback colors"!!
I have many retired Stampin' Up colors that I still use and adore. There was a period of time that I was not stamping so I did not keep up with the Stampin' Up In Colors. Purely Pomegranate and there was a cranberry color as well, I would like to see these come back because they sound like they were very pretty.
I hoarded a LOT of Brilliant Blue. It's a popular school color in my area and I wanted it for graduation cards. I couldn't believe it when they retired a fundamental color like a nice royal blue.
The one I miss most is Purely Pomegranate. Especially the satin ribbon. That stuff was heavenly. I also miss Sage Shadow.
I didn't buy in-colors back when pomegranate was around... but later I got an ink pad and 3 rolls of the ribbon on the clearance rack. I ration it very carefully! It is YUMMY
...I would love to see sage shadow, NQN, concord crush, handsome hunter return. Though admittedly, I bought some sage cs when it retired...and I still have quite a bit. Ask me again in December...we'll see how I do with my 2015 resolution to USE what I al:rolleyes:ready have!
Even though I did not use it often, I'd like apricot appeal, or something similar. Sometimes I *need* that pastel shade
I really wish no colors wold ever retire, but I understand the business model of "fresh" product line.
I just love color...I find use for all of them, even the ones that initially bore me (soft suede, summer starfruit). I should do better at stocking up ink refills, I guess

I didn't realize it until trying to match card stock to patterned paper this past weekend but Bravo Burgundy was a true burgundy/wine colored shade. Everything else has too much purple in it. So, I'm really going to miss this color. Does anyone know of anything comparable? Have a few sheets left that I will treasure.
I agree that they should bring back the brights such as Brillant Blue Only orange glorious green ETC. School Colors and children's cards... In didn find that the Primary colors in recollections work. They are true primary colors.
They Just retired the only true light blue they had too Bashful Blue ...all the others seem to have a hint of green I would love them to bring back that color too.... That whole retired Subtles collection were such pretty and true pastels...want them back too..... I wish they would just add colors and never retire any LOL

Reason: typos
I understand the business part of them retiring the colors but as a customer/demo I wish they add not take away too. I mean you go to the big box stores and all the colors are there year after year. I too wish they would bring back so many colors.

I am lucky to have a local stamp/scrap store. They carry a couple of different lines of card stock. I could always find the colored card stock I want over there. Sometimes I think there are at least 10 different shades of each color available!

I miss Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery. But they're gone for good so I can only hope new InColors come along that are similar or they come out with new core colors. They got rid of SO many good colors in 2010!
Just yesterday I was using some of my old, retired DSP that used Baja Breeze. I thought for sure I'd hoarded some. Imagine my surprise when I tore my room apart (looking through 4 large containers of CS!) and couldn't find a single sheet. Guess what? I pulled out a sheet of Lost Lagoon, and it goes perfectly with it! Boy did I do a happy dance!
Do you not like Pear Pizzazz? Certainly Celery used to be my favorite green. Pear to me is just a shade off.
I do like Pear Pizzaz but it's darker than Certainly Celery, especially the marker. I still use my old linen inkpad of CC and it works fine with the Pear cs.
Pistachio Pudding would be a good choice in the Subtles group.
There are so many I would love to see come back. I too really wish they would not retire wonderful colors like
Baja Breeze
Certainly Celery
Regal Rose
Midnight Muse!!!!!!
and
Poppy Parade
and I still like
Lucky Limeade
Gumball Green
Raspberry ripple
Summer Starfruit
even Primrose Petals was starting to grow on me
and although I never tried these colors, I would love to work with
Concord Crush
Peach Parfait
and the line really needs a yellow orange, so I wish they would bring back
Summer Sun!!!!!!
I really wish they would not retire colors so quickly, especially the refills!!! I also wish they would not retire stamps so quickly. It takes me a long time to warm up to stamps and colors, and it takes a while for me to build my collection.
No, Baja is gone ;-( I also loved Cool Caribbean. Poorly Party is my replacement for CC along with Coastal Cabana!
Does Crisp Cantaloup do anything for you in place of G Guava?
I like Crisp Cantaloupe way better than Guava. Guava was too dark or bright or something, and I just didn't care that much for it. I would really like to see Crisp Cantaloupe become a permanent color, it goes so well with Calypso Coral.
Oh, and whoever mentioned Lost Lagoon and Baja Breeze - I haven't tried to match DP yet, but my Baja Breeze inkpad works really well with Lost Lagoon. I think LL is BB only darker. If these were paint colors they'd be on the same chip card.

I think that's my fave SU colour ever. I still have some of that satin ribbon left! As well as cardstock and ink, of course (I love it so much that I've ended up eking it out for years).
