Jeanette, I'm so sorry to hear that about Kelly's daughter!!! Yes, she'll definitely be in our thoughts and prayers. I know this must be frightening for the whole family right now.
Dropping in to catch up- will be keeping Kelly's daughter in prayers- yikes! I dilly dallied today- had our handyman stop by, we are going to re-do the bathrooms upstairs and he gave us our homework for shopping and picking out stuff.
I have stamping I want to get done before we leave for Florida, I have tomorrow off, and a little time tonight.
It is snowing a little here again tonight- I could not get the pics to upload here the other night- not sure I did it correctly.
I am heading to the stamp room in a bit to get together some packages of materials for up coming swaps. I am heading to Camp Stamp-in-Oga on Saturday and will work on some getting some swaps done. The morning is a stamp class and I signed up to stay the rest of the day, into the evening, as long as I last.................. and we can work on whatever we want. My SU demo Sarah and her good friend Cheryl organize it and bring every imaginable SU item for us to use in the afternoon. It is a fun play day!
Today our friends are bringing over Maggie and Lucy as we are dog sitting for a few days while their owners are heading to Florida. Really? Why would you want to get out of Wisconsin now????
Ladies, you may have noticed we haven't seen Kelly in the thread lately... here's a bit of information regarding Kelly.
Kelly's DD (the youngest of the three DD's) has been quite sick for a while now. They diagnosed her with a thyroid situation and began treatment, but instead of getting better, her condition has worsened. They are now saying she's what Kelly calls "thyroidic storm" and they are in the process of admitting her to the hospital.
Thanks for keeping Kelly's family in your thoughts/prayers!
wow! Thanks for the information about Kelly's DD16. That is a life/death situation as I read online. Very, very serious and they will hospitalize at the mere suggestion this could be what she has. I will be for sure sending up prayers for DD and Kelly and the whole family. You know how involved/busy Kelly is. I'm sure that there are friends/neighbors who will come to her aid and help her out while she is tending to DD.

thanks for the update jeanette. keeping kelly, dd and family in my prayers.
hello to everyone else! baby had his 4-mo appt on monday and 2 shots... fussy and fussy and FUSSY!!! since then he won't nap and won't sleep for more than 3-4 hours at a time. so we've been working on getting back to a routine. i got him to nap at his normal time today so hopefully we're on our way to being back on track.
Good Morning Ladies! It is cold here today, -10 and with the bit of wind, -19. Brrrrrrrr! The doggies are snuggled at my feet right now and I am not sure I am taking them for a walk this morning.......................
Here's an update from Kelly - they were able to go home from the hospital last night, where her DD will continue to recuperate. Thank you for your continued thoughts & prayers.
This seems to have been a long week with lots of snow, cold and wind--maybe not as bad as many of you in the East have had ........................ So I am glad it is Friday!
I am off to the stamp room and then we are headed to Illinois tonight to see my great-niece play basketball. Tomorrow is Camp Stamp-in-Oga, so I will probably not be here in the morning. I am taking my laptop along, so I might check in sometime in the afternoon.
Good morning, friends - a chilly day here in Miami but at least we are home and in our own beds and starting a road to recovery! Thank you so much for the prayers for Victoria - and Jeanette for getting the word out ~ I love you! ♥ My life has been a bit of a blur the past week(s) - just when we think we're over the hurdle with her, another symptom appeared and back in the hospital she'd go. Now it's wait and see but we've had a GREAT 24 hours, hoping it stays that way!
I do hope everyone is well in the snow and ice - we watched a lot of news on hospital tv (and games shows and Lord have mercy, those talk shows! I didn't even know who Jerry Springer was, LOL!) I hope everyone is safe in the storm(s) and snow coming and going - be well!
Lynn, hope Rambo is improving by now -- and Jordan, too. And poor Maggie who's been equally sick - Jeanette who is on the road and hopefully those are clear of ice and snow! I am hopelessly behind and will read the thread when I'm able to sit for a lengthy time.
But thinking of you all and appreciating all the prayers and good vibes for Victoria ~
Kelly, so good to hear that Victoria is better now. I'm sure it's just been a whirlwind with all the doctors/hospital/etc. Thank goodness she's home though and on the right road now. Been thinking about y'all so much!!!
Praise God Victoria is so much improved - will continue the prayers. I know what you mean about tv and hospitals Kelly... I don't like it at all and will take a book if I have half a chance. Hugs to you Kelly.
thanks for the update jeanette. keeping kelly, dd and family in my prayers.

Have a Great Weekend!!!!!
Have a great trip to Illinois.
My DD and DGD from CA were in Chicago most of the week since last Saturday. DGD was doing auditions. They have something they call "Uniteds" where they have one central place where all the schools come to watch and listen to kids auditioning for places in the Musical Theater schools. DGD had 8 one day and 4 another day plus she had dance calls also. It was a grueling time for her. They were there until yesterday morning and then were leaving today to go to LA for another round of Uniteds there. She has an audition scheduled at FSU at the end of February, but she's not sure if she's going there or to Greeley. She's already been accepted accademically at both colleges and she has to decide which one she's going to audition for. She's not going to do both. Next week she goes to SF with her choir for some choir event and to do a bit of sightseeing. When DD & her DH lived up in the Bay area was before DGD was born so she's never really been up there before.
They did have some fun in Chicago and got to do some sightseeing. They got there a day early because of the weather. The flight they were originally on was cancelled so they were glad they managed to get an earlier one.

Kelly, so glad to hear from you and to hear that Victoria is on her road to recovery. Must have been really scary for all of you to have this happen. Sending up prayers still for a full recovery. I hate hospitals. I'm not a good patient at all and daytime TV really sucks. My favorite daytime show now though is The Chew! That is a fun show.
I'm on the road to being well I think. My sore throat is almost gone, but it gets a tickle now and again and makes me cough and still have a spot that I can feel, but so much better than I was 3 days ago. I'm thinking it might be allergies and I changed from Zyrtec to Claritin 3 nights ago so we'll see. I still have an appointment with the throat specialist on Wednesday. I still have some issues that I need to talk to her about.

Thanks Barb. She really is. Up until last year, she wanted to be a dancer. That was all she wanted, but then she got into choir and drama and turner her attention to Musical Theater. I hope that she can make her dreams come true one day.

Update on Jordan - he is making progress but it will be a long slow recovery - there is some reduction in the brain swelling, but there is a long way to go. Thanks for the prayers.
The immediate family has been drawn much closer through all this.
So far the culprit, although known, has not yet be arrested. Apparently he has a history of going up to people and hitting them on the head from behind :-( ....
Happy Sunday Afternoon! We just got back for a walk and some snowshoeing with the two dogs--about 3 miles. They are both sleeping now!!!
We watched a good basketball game Friday night, even though they lost. Becky is a Senior and may or may not play in college as she is not sure where she is going yet. She may go to Whitewater, which is where her brother is currently a Sophomore. It is about 30 minutes from us!
I had a great time at Camp yesterday. We made 5 great cards in the card class in the morning and then I completed 3 sets of swap cards in the afternoon/evening. I won a door prize in the afternoon--the SU set Moon Lake, which was on my wish list. I also won the card challenge--however I will admit I was the only entrant in both the color and sketch challenge......................... oh well--I still think I can be called a winner! Sarah posted the details on the FB page this time and I guess most of the other ladies who usually enter did not see it. I won two packs of DSP! I took lots of pictures of the cards displayed and got some good ideas too. There is also a rummage associated with it and I actually made much more money on what I sold than what I bought--YAY!!!
Quick hello from Florida- just wanted to say hello to ya'll : )
And, Happy Birthday to Darlene!!!
We are enjoying Florida so far. We stayed with College friends since Friday- we are having a great time and eating out alot! It is in the 60's and 70's, and all of the locals can tell who is from out of town, as we have shorts on and they are freezing : )
We will be back home Wednesday note- not sure if I will get back before them or not.
I've been MIA; as you know I went on a trip again. This one fairly close to home. The Women's Meeting was fantastic. A nice blend of missionary speakers, Bible studies, and worship. I had more women in my breakout conferences than I had thought I might... and they went well.
Now I'm home - for TWO weeks! I have no travels this week!!! Surprised?
Actually, we have a ton of things going on at our own church this week, so even though I'm home, I won't be home as much as I need to be. LOL!
So glad to hear of improving health for Kelly's DD, Maggie, and Jordan, too!
So sad about the culprit who did that to Jordan, though. It sounds like he not only needs to be brought to justice, but also needs some help!
Lynn, ouch! Get better!
Shelly, sounds like a fun time! Enjoy every moment!

Glad to hear that Jordan is making progress in his road to recovery. That's crazy that they haven't arrested the perpetrator. What are they waiting for? Next time maybe he'll actually kill the person! :(

Good Afternoon--I did a quick stop on SCS this morning before I left for a card class, but now I reading through before heading to the stamp room. I need to package up a couple of the swaps I finished and take a run--in my car--to the Post Office this afternoon or tomorrow. Stamp Class was Glitz and Glamour! We got a bottle of Silver Dazzling Details along with a tub of Gold Glitter!
