So I volunteered to make 300 wrapped nuggets for a women's retreat at my church. (don't worry, they're already done!!) I decorated 9 sheets of labels and got bored so I decided to try something different.
I cut up a sheet of labels into a size that would go through my cuttlebug and I embossed them with a SU! texturz plate!
Wow! They look great! They're very classy looking in all white (to go with the ones that are stamped with brown, pink and green polka dots).
I imagine they could be dressed up a bit more with inking the texturz plate or lightly sponging the raised surface.
Anyway, I thought this was fun and wanted to share! I'll have to take a picture tomorrow and upload it!
I will say I used the SU! Texturz plates because the image isn't as deep as an embossing folder. When the labels went through, some of the backing paper tore and just a few places that embossed right on the edge tore. But all in all, this really looked nice! I am so challenged to come up with my own designs for cards that when I come up with something all on my own and looks nice, I'm really excited!
Martha - they turned out beautifully! See--we really aren't as "creatively challenged" as we think we are! Maybe we're not as creative as others, but we can still come up with our own ideas! I love the colors but I would not have the patience to wrap up 300 nuggets. I'll bet they were (or will be) a big hit. Thanks for sharing! I'm always inspired by others' creativity.
