Quite some time ago I came across the website of a lady who makes the most amazing explosion boxes. She even was commissioned to make one for the Queen of England. I think I found out about her through this forum, mainly because this is the only stamping/scrapbooking site I frequent. Does anyone remember who she is or what her website is?
That's it!!! Thanks so much. I was trying amazingboxes.com, explodingboxes.com and everything else I could think of. She does such amazing work I didn't want to lose that website.
Her work is amazing! I think it's really big of her (and several other talented ladies we see around SCS) to share her technique. I'm definetly going to try making a box.
Those boxes are stunning. Thanks for bringing it up!

I was so impressed with the Magic Box artist I wanted to try to make one, not that I could ever duplicate her beautiful work.
I made my version larger and my acrylic was to weak to hold just plain paper so I made springs. I think it turned out kind of cute. I want to make more and get much better. Let me know what you think... TIA

Stamphappy I think you did a very nice job on your magic box. The springs look just as good as the acetate does. Actually I think it adds another point of visual interest to it. tfs your first attempt.

I used the regular type of transparency acetate and it wasn't strong enough to hold my images, I ended up doubling it. I think there are heavier weights available so you might want to find something like that.
I just ordered some of the acetate sheets from SU to see which one will be strong enough. I'll post here once I get my order as I haven't found any that is stronger than what I already have.
I should have kept some of the protective acetate that comes with clear stamps, it's probably thw correct weight!
