I usually take my inspiration from a posted challenge. It is so much fun to work toward the same goal as other stampers and see all the varied results.
I get my inspiration from ATC swaps. And I've just signed up for my very first inchies swaps which I think will have the same inspirational effect as the ATC swap!
With me it depends on the time. There are times when all the things you have listed have gotten me inspired. It just depends. Sometimes it's an SCS challenge, sometimes a color, sometimes a sketch, sometimes occassion, sometimes, well, you get the picture. lol

I am ususally inspired by something on SCS. It could be a color scheme, sketch, stamp set or from scanning the gallery. It could also be when I have an occassion that I need a card for. When I want to play with a tool, Cuttlebug, Prismacolor Pencils or Cricut. So basically, everything on your list except last minute, at least not lately.
Sketch challenges, stamps, occasion--although sometimes I'm so overwhelmed I want to use all the sketches and all my stamps and all my papers now now now and then other times I have no inspiration at all from any of the above!
For me, it is either a card I have seen that I like the sketch of, or the sketch challenges posted here on SCS or the other challenges. But I also get inspired when I get a new tool or a new CB folder or die or whatever. I usually want to use them right then and think of something.
And sometimes, I wait and wait until the last minute! I don't really stamp much, I mainly use my Sizzix and make my own embellishments. I'm just not good at the whole stamping/coloring thing. I like to stamp and emboss but it's a pain in the neck to get out my heat gun and find an outlet!
I hope we were allowed to pick more that just one, because in the sprit of "all of the above" I checked most of them. Almost anything can set me off... I've got stamping on the brain!

Do you know if there's a 12-step program for stamping? No, seriously, is there??
usually it's "OH CRAP! I HAVE SOMETHING DUE FOR THE DESIGN TEAM CHALLENGE TONIGHT!" or "OH CRAP! I HAVE TO HAVE PICTURES AND A DESCRIPTION INTO MY BOSS FOR THE CLASSES I'M TEACHING NEXT MONTH!"
so needless to say, i chose the procrastinating choice... lol
