Which is best adhesive to use with dazzling diamonds?
I'd like to try dazzling diamonds but not sure which adhesive I should get to go with it.
Should I buy 2-way glue pen or the liquid glue with duel tip?
Then there's the heat & stick powder??? So many choices...but I think I'd rather not get the heat & stick powder, as it sounds like more steps involved.
What is your favorite choice of adhesive for this, and why?
I didn't want the heat and stick powder either because I just didn't understand the point. But I loved the dazzling diamonds effect.
Here's what I think, 2 way glue or even versamark will work but the problem then is the ink that you stamped you're image in is not that visible.
When I've compared the two results - using heat and stick vs. not using heat and stick - I definitely preferred the look the heat and stick got me so I went ahead and bought it.
I too hemmed and hawed, trying other methods because I just wasn't believing that it was necessary - I already had so many other things at home that I thought would do the trick. But in the end I realized in some cases you can't beat heat and stick.
I like the 2 way glue pen because you can be precise at to where you put it. Dazzling Diamonds is my favorite SU! product. People love the fine glitter and they are amazed at how precise you can get it on the image!
This stuff is awesome! If you just want simple little dots, go for the liquid glue. The 2-way glue pen is too difficult to control if you want it in a specific place.
The heat and stick powder will adhere the glitter to your image if you use craft ink (or versamark over your image). I love it.
You have to get the embossing tool, but do a search for use for embossing gun or something like that. There's so much it can do, you won't regret it. It embosses, does heat & stick, polyshrink, sets craft ink, curls organdy ribbon, bags, defrosts the freezer/pipes, shines boots...
Seriously, heat and stick powder is the way to go!
Yes, I prefer the liquid glue to the 2-way glue pen, but maybe I just need a new glue pen. The 2 way glue pen has a 1/4" thing where the glue comes out so if you just want small controlled lines, you're not going to get it.
I have a versamarker that I use if I want to color something in. Or I use my sponge and the versamark or a craft pad.

Funny story- I wanted color under the glitter and didn't realize the craft pads could be used so I stamped in classic, then used the stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp embossing ink over it so I could heat & stick. Finally I realized that I was doing way too much work and now it's easy.
I am the odd ball, i use crystal effects then sprinkle the dazzling diamonds on top. I don't own the other products mentioned and this was shown to me as a way so I always do it this way.
I have always discovered mixing it with Crystal effects and then using a paint brush to cover and area gives a really nice effect, then you can add a little to let color show through or a lot.
I'm having problems with all the above glue products, except crystal effects. The glue smears the ink before I can even think about putting dazzling diamonds on the stamped image. What's my problem?
I have heat & stick and never use it. I don't like using glitter very much because it just gets everywhere. When you use heat & stick you have to use the heat gun which blows the glitter all over because not every piece sticks to it. I like keeping it contained as much as possible. I was quite surprised how well the 2 way glue pen held the glitter. But, I do like the idea of using Crystal Effects because then I know it will hold for years to come.
