What's the best way to color a white easter bunny on colored cardstock?
I tried pencils (regular and watercolor) but it didn't seem to cover very well (I was using pale yellow cardstock).
INstead of stamping the bunny on the colored cardstock and coloring him white, you can try stamping him on white cardstock, then cutting him out and adhering him to the colored cardstock.
Maybe you could try a variation of the Chalkboard technique that was posted in this week's "Weekly Inkling" to get the effect you're trying to achieve. You'd color in the bunny with a Versamarker and then go over the image with the white pastel. I've never tried this myself since I only just thought of it in response to your question, but it could work!

A Prismacolor Premier pencil will lay down enough pigment to colour white over a coloured cardstock. I did this card for the limited supplies challenge on Friday with that technique - the card is a blue base.
Thanks for posting this response and for sharing the beautiful daisy card! I hadn't thought of that solution and I really like it! Sponge daubers leave a glossy finish, not always what you're looking for. sab
A technique I read about on SCS when I first joined was to stamp the image you want on vanilla card stock and then color it white with a white colored pencil. The white will stand out because there will be a definite contrast from the vanilla.
I've used pearlized white cardstock and stamped my image using white pigment or chalk ink (which dries with a matte finish) and I've also used white matte cardstock and stamped my image with white iridescent ink. Both techniques gave me results with depth. I think I'll try the pearlized card with white matte ink for my bunnies this year as this might resemble "fur".
