Default Stamping on Fabric??

Hi Friends--I have a customer that wants to stamp on fabric. Which SU ink works better on fabric, classic or craft? Have you been successful stamping on fabric? Thanks for your input.

craft ink works best. I stamp on cotton onesies. I was them first to get the sizing out (?) i think that is why! then stamp with craft, then i iron to heat set and just for good measure i throw it in the dryer again (with my next load). I don't know about other fabrics though.

There are fabric ink pads, Fabrico makes markers (and maybe pads), but VersaMagic also says it's for fabric. I'm going to buy myself some in a week. I use Palette inkpads right now, to stamp on fabric, and wasn't aware that SU! craft ink could be made permanent with heat setting, so I guess I'll be getting a few more of those as well.

An easier solution for stamping on fabric is to use blank iron on sheets (get these at an office supply store). These are durable and hold up very well. One thing to keep in mind is that you are going to have a reverse image, so no words using this technique

Thanks for the suggestions--I'll have to check out the iron on sheets, sounds interesting. I did read that SU reccommends Craft Ink for stamping on fabric and acrylic paint for stamping on walls or wood.
So many surfaces to stamp on--so little time!
