So I'm intrigued by the whole idea of inchies, but I'm not sure I understand what to do with them once they're made. Cards? Magnets? Hanging artwork for dollhouses?
Since I'm a visual-ish person, I'm hoping you all can share links to your inchie projects.
I wish I had pictures, but I use them to create background paper for my cards. Then to create a complimentary envelope I stamp a piece of paper and line the envelope. Then I stamp the lower left front corner of the envelope to tie it all together.
Inchies seem really fun to make and and trade as well as a great way to use up scraps. Does any one actually use them to make cards or layouts I wonder? I would love to see some examples of cards made with inchies. I don't think I'd get into making them otherwise.

I just did a search of the Gallery for "Inchies". Don't know why I didn't think of that earlier. Duh!
There was 24 pages of inchies with about 10 examples of cards made with them. Not too many but enough to convince me to get into making them. I may even convince my scrappin' friends to do an "inchie swap"
It took me a while to find out what inchies were too!
Some one correct me if I'm wrong....
Inchies are 1 X 1 inch squares of paper that are embelished. I would say highly embelished. Many stampers do "inchie swaps" make a lot of them and swap them with a lot of people so that you get a larger assortment. Then you can use them on cards.
There is a stamping store here in Georgia...Impressive Ideas and they have an Inchies Class.
Here's their description:
*Inchies: An "inchie" is a 1" square piece of artwork. Starting with a 1" square of cardstock, you'd never guess how outstanding the results can be. Start by stamping a small image or part of a larger image. Color, embellish, and voila, you have finished an inchie. Make one or make a dozen, our inchies will become magnets by adding a magnet to the back. you'll be supplied with an 8" x 10" framed surface on which to display your creations. Please bring at least one of your favorite stamps with a small image. You'll have your choice of dozens of other stamps as well as watercolors, markers, twinkling H2O's, Pearl EX, crystal laquers, etc. for coloring and embellishing. You'll also get a template with a 1" square opening for viewing sections of larger stamps.
Wow, thanks for sharing that Blog -- she makes great cards from inchies. Sharing all these Inchie projects made me want to make some so here is a card I made tonight!! It was a ton of fun :-)

Thanks for posting this question. I have always wondered about them myself.
I can see how this might become my next addiction.

Yes, Inchies ARE a lot of fun and can get addictive! They are similar to ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) but smaller! It's fun to see how a 1-inch portion of your larger stamps can look so different! Here's a card I just made with an Inchie . . . it's a magnet that can be removed from the card by the recipient and used elsewhere -- in their Inchie collection or a magnet on the fridge!
