I just love using vellum, but cannot find a product that does not show through the vellum. There's a million of products that claim to not show through and I just wanted to get opinions on which products you have used that don't show through. I am doing a swap where I have to make 22 two page layouts and I want to use vellum in the worst sort of way, but don't want it to show!! Thanks.

Where can you get these two products? My demo said that hte only one that she found that didn't show was an adhesive that she bought on QVC. Anyone know about that product? I have to make 50 wedding programs and I think I will be using vellum.
Have either of these two adhesives turned yellow over time??

I just went and checked two cards I made about 2 years ago...they had not yellowed. The one on regular C/S was fine,but the one I used on glossy C/S wasn't sticking very well

I believe I bought the vellum tape at Hobby Lobby or maybe Micheals...its made by Scotch and was with the rest of the adhesives and glues.
I use a glue stick, I have tried everything. You have to perfect the technique. Use "photo" gluestick, make sure you cover the ENTIRE piece of vellum and you will never see it once it's down, I am going to go ahead and brag here but I have gotten so good with it that all my friends get my to "do there vellum"

Creative Memories sells one that is called frosted splits that I luv for vellum, I run my little tool over it after I stickit on to the paper or cardstock & it disappears, you could also usethe back of your fingernail. You can only get it from a CM consultant though. I'm sure theres one near you, go on the site www.creativememories.com to find a consultant near you. HTH
Michaels in Canada sells Vellum that is adhesive. It has a backing that you can just peel off. I usually use Excel because it's easy to adjust the columns. I'll do an entire page of journalling at a time and just cut it apart. HTH
I received some vellum adhesive(I think 3M?) as a gift from a secret sister. You can get it at Michael's or Archiver's - I just got my Archiver's newsletter and they are going to do the BOGO on 3M adhesives SOON

I bought these and hated them! I think maybe if you are using a thick vellum, like cardstock they work. But, I can still see them on paper vellum. I was very disappointed as I saw them demonstrated and thought...finally...but now I just use Scotch Vellum tape and love it. Plus, it's much cheaper and easier to get ahold of.

I use them on thin vellum paper on my scrapbook pages & you cannot see them at all. You may have bought the older ones that are called splits for vellum, those did not work & you could still see them, I also hated those but then they came out with these new ones, these are FROSTED splits & you have to rub on the vellum where the splits are placed then the adhesive disappears.

No, I bought the new frosted ones. Maybe I just got a bad batch. I'll have to try a couple more and see if I can get them to work. Thanks.

Your welcome! I think the older ones were called clear splits, sorry. Don't forget to rub the spot on the paper where the split is after you adhere it so that the adhesive disappears. HTH

I went to check my scrapbooks & none have yellowed, I've had them for over a year. almost 2 I think...I can't remember when they came out with the new frosted splits, but as soon as the did I used them.

Not to hijack this thread...but I would really like to use the frosted photo splits and still can't seem to get them to work. You can see both of them...I used a new one from the front of the roll and the smaller one is from the other end. I tried using a tool to rub even. In between the two splits I used Scotch Vellum Tape which you cannot see at all. Those of you happy with these, do you have any other tips for what I may be doing wrong? I just attended a card class on Monday and the demonstrator used glue dots on the vellum. We stamped the image which was the flowers from Together Forever onto the vellum with Basic Grey, flipped the stamped image over and then applied the glue dots directly behind the flowers and the leaf. I will try to upload the image tonight.
