I just used fiberfill, blotted it on my ink pad, then using circular motions, applied to white cardstock. It has a nice, soft, look, and blends well with other colors. I found the technique in Carol Heppner's book "Inking"
If you look at the page the link takes you to, it's right there on the first paragraph. She doesn't give a tutorial, just says that, "like in her book, she used fiberfill..." (paraphrased).
If you look around your house, you'll find so many things that can be appropriated for your crafting, lol. A long time ago I bought a product specifically for the little thingie that was attached to it. Ugh! Can't think of the name of it. Like little balls that are made of strings of rubbery stuff? Scrunchie? Nope. Well, anyway, it was actually made into a character of some kind, and my son REALLY wanted it, and I told him it was mommy's art tool. Wonderful for sponging ink onto cardstock...gave kind of a splattered look.
The mesh things you use to wash with...kitchen scrubbies...rubber stamps... (oh wait...that IS how we apply ink to paper!)...lol. SIlly. There are so many things that lead double lives in my house. The polyester fiberfill actually lives in my polymer clay cart. It's wonderful for baking shaped objects on so they don't flatten on the bottom while laying on the baking sheet.

Thank you Erika. I still have more pages to do, and I am hoping to be able to work on some this weeknd. I am a vendor at a crop on Saturday, so hopefully, I will be to busy selling to be able to work on my own stuff.
