Hi,
I just got an order from Papertrey and I have received 2 Palette Hybrid inks. One is the charcoal. Very nice. But the New Canvas??? It is very dry. I smeared it across some cardstock and barely got any white. I stamped with some rubbah and while I did see white on the rubbah, nothing came off the stamp, onto the cardstock. Hmmmm...do you think they have sent me a dud? Sending it back will cost me an arm and a leg; it just won't be worth it. Anyone else have New Canvas? Is it "juicy"???
Thanks Karen,
I have turned it upside down and I also took a rubber stamp and squished it quite hard back and forth onto the pad. It seems to be coming alive. Maybe the ink has just pooled on the bottom? I can now get smears of white on paper.
It sure is different than SU! craft ink. I am really going to have to experiment and see what I can do with this white. Looks like it will dry super-fast.
I think you'll like SU's craft white better in the end. I do at least, the Palette is just too dry and not opaque enough for me. I was so disappointed because I love love love Palette Inks!
I wasn't to fond of my New Canvas I wound up throwing ti out when I got my new Close To My Heart White Daisy pad they re-done it and it's great! I LOVE my Palette pads but the New Canvas I just couldn't like at all.

New Canvas is really not a white ink pad, KWIM? It is sort of one step up from versamark, IMHO. Very pale. I would not use it for white, just maybe for a background when you are looking for some depth.

wish I would have known that before I ordered it yesterday....on the site it listed it as New Canvas, but also said White.
I love New Canvas!!! I really think it is a matter of opinion. I also bought the reinker when I ordered. I wish I would have taken a picture of the card I made today. I stamped using NC on Real red cardstock. I was quite pleased. I like that it dries quicker than Craft ink.
I too got 2 dry pads from Papertrey. Took me a couple of emails before they responded and I was asked to mail back the pads for replacement. It just wasn't worth the time/cost. I would have just purchased the reinkers from them, but apparently they do not sell them.
