How do the ribbons arrive when ordered? Meaning, I'm thinking of how to store them once I get them. Are they all folded and bundled, on cardboard, on a spool?? Does it change depending on how much ribbon you order, 1 yd, 5 yds, 100 yds??? TIA!
Just noticed you're both with TAC. Hmmmmm.....I've got so much ribbon, I'm insane to think about buying more, but there are some colors I'd just love to have. I'm just running out of room to store it so I'm trying to think about it in advance. I appreciate your replies!
I just recently received a RABOM order too and mine was the same - some wound tightly in a spool and some on cardboard spools. And I did read somewhere that they were moving toward the cardboard spools as they sell off the inventory of the other ones. Mine were all 5 yds too. EXCEPT for lavendar. I accidentally ordered 100 yards and didn't realize it until reading the confirmation email. It was also on a cardboard spool. But I was able to sell it all of to my friends at ASB, thank goodness!
I LOVE the grossgrain ribbon at RABOM though. I won't order it anywhere else! Sign up for their emails and you'll know when they're having their 20% off sale. ;)
Oh, speaking of storage. I have these little baskets from Walmart - 94 cents for two I think. They are long rectangles, about the size for silverware storage maybe. The rolls (not spools) of RABOM grossgrain fit perfectly in these! I have two baskets full, and all the spools on a dowel rod within reach. This is what works for me, anyway.
