The plaidmaker - had to have it. STILL love it but it is so darn messy and such a pain in the rear. Have used it twice and vow to NEVER use it again. How do you all do it???
Dry embossing templates. Love the look - hate to get out all the stuff to do it.
My hundreds of dollars worth of paper, that I HAD to have. LOTS OF IT. And it is ALL NON Stampin UP, and Since I started using Stampin Up Paper. all my other paper has collected dust! I am actually thinking of donating it. But to where? Hmmmm
I too have skeleton leaves coming out of my ears - I even received a stack more for Christmas.
But most of the time it's stuff I have to have and then can't bear to use because I'm saving it for "best". No logic in it I know! My NY resolution was to stop hoarding stuff and start using it - I'm doing pretty well so far!
Karen I have that Fiskars shape thing and hate it too!
I wish I had taken it back right after I tried it the first time -- I thought maybe if I worked with it it would get better. I don't think I've had it out of the package in 2+ years.
I don't know where to begin. Hmmm - a few stamp sets (because I have SO MANY - how can I possibly use them all?). Pearl-ex - just because I have only used it once so far and have been somewhat intimidated by it for some reason. I buy a TON of tools - and haven't necessarily used them - just had to have the new toys!!
I have to say though - I have tried many many types of crafts. They are all sitting in my basement now - waiting for the yard sale that has been postponed by 3years so far. At least with stamping, I have continued to do it and have been for a few years now - and I'm still addicted. I should probably get some of that stuff from the basement onto ebay - I'd have more money to spend on STAMPING!!
Location: My very hot stamp room, in Phoenix! It's a dry heat.

My name is Karen and I am a hoarder. <== Read that last word carefully and put the der on for sure please. I hate to use these wonderful things though because they are so "special" I have to save them for the bestest card ever. That is the silliest thing. Why do I continue to do that? I'm trying to break free from that compulsion.
I don't think there is anything I haven't used at all yet. Maybe a stamp set, yeah for sure a stamp set or two. The things I don't use often enough:
All the SU buttons I just had to have and lots of ribbons - I'm just not that good with using them, and they are "special" after all.
I use most everything else though, I think, or at least tell myself I use it. If anyone wants to donate their unused items to the horrible hoarder, pm me for my address! Mmmmwwwwaaaaaahaaaaaahaaaaaa (evil laugh)
I just went through my sets and found a big bagful that I dont ever use...many styles I was into but am not now and some were free sets but are discontinued...so I am going to seel them at stamp camp and then on SCS. But honestly, I use everything.
Hey HB....about Coluzzle. ... I found that the trick is to Hold the cutter pen perpendicular to the template. If you slant it like you would a pencil or pen or even an exacto knife the thing just won't cut properly. But once I learned how to hold it it works just great.
I bought the oval and circle cutters from CM thinking I would scrapbook. Not............But found stamping and now use them all the time, for cards. Hehe. I haven't got the cozzel because doesn't it do the same thing?
My hundreds of dollars worth of paper, that I HAD to have. LOTS OF IT. And it is ALL NON Stampin UP, ---->snip---> I am actually thinking of donating it. But to where? Hmmmm
Hi Stampinlacey,
Why not use it to create cards and donate them or donate the paper to the group that is doing cards for the Troops...

I also have a lot of non SU Cardstock. I have recently started making cards with it to donate to a local women's shelter for women fleeing from domestic abuse.
All my scrapbooking supplies!!! Once I found SU! I never really jumped back into scrapbooking and my photos are really piling up! But, I use all my stamping stuff and always buy more!!!
I bought a xyron 510 2 years ago, it sat forever. I finally used it to make 12 cards this Christmas, and there it sits.
The mini sewing machine. My hubby knows how to work it, but I can't convince him to make the cards I want . LOL
Coluzzle, Skeleton Leaves, Sharpies ( I haven't even opened them!) Pearl Ex, Paper Piecing Punch, Slit Punch, My Ott Lamp (GREAT product, just never think about using it until I am finished stamping for the day, it's even sitting NEXT to my lamp that I turn on to stamp.)
I'm sure there is more, but can't think of anything more.
As for stamp sets... Little Layers, Beautiful Batik, Buds & Blossoms. HAD to have them... had them all for at least a year or two, and used them all once or twice, but not enough to justify the price.
I felt the same about Pearl Ex until the whole Future Floor Wax thing came around... LOVE that technique!

Why not ask a local Senior Center? Those ladies (& gentlemen too) would love having something new to learn & do!

I dont have alot of stuff to NOT use it all !! lol I havent been able to afford to get alot, so I think and think about an item for awhile before I buy it, just so it wont sit.
Funny...I have two tubes of acrylic paint. One is raw umber and one unbleached titanium. Had to have them for something, but I cannot remember what!! I see them every time I open that drawer. Guess I will move them.
I just had to have the fruit set that retired a few yrs ago with the set of words to go with it. I nearly broke my neck getting them before they retired, used them once and that was that.
Things that just sit and sit and sit in my closet are.....
stickers, fibers (not all of them, just some LOL) and the binder that I "had to have" a month or so ago and has sit in the closet not even touched. I had high hopes of using it, just never got to it!
I do have some stamp sets that I don't think I've ever used (two of which were Sellabration sets from last year) but thats OK, if I get some use out of the rest of my stuff I guess its better than nothing.
I can tell ya though that my fiskers shape cutter was sitting untouched until earlier today when I needed to cut ovals ;)

On the top of the list--Coluzzle, my CM cutters work much better and are a lot easier.
Then there's Pearle Ex, the plaid maker, wire, any color of glitter that isn't dazzling diamonds.
As for sets, I have so many that I can't possibly use them all. I get sucked into what SU is promoting in Stampin' Success or with the Inspiration Sheets. I've had to give myself a no buy rule on sets until the new catty comes out and then I'm going to have to do some serious research to see if I really truly would use the set.
I bought paper dolls and paper pals before they retired thinking it would be fun to well... make paper dolls. It's not fun. It's a pain to do all of the cutting out for those silly things.
I could go on and on... but my dh may walk by any minute and see this and then I'd be busted.
I am the poster girl for impulse buying--learn a lesson from me, if you can't think of at least 5-10 things to do with something before you buy it, don't buy it.
I hate to use these wonderful things though because they are so "special" I have to save them for the bestest card ever. That is the silliest thing. Why do I continue to do that? I'm trying to break free from that compulsion.
Phew! I thought I was the only one! I am doing very well this year and have already used several Making Memories snaps, some VERY cherished SU cardstock, some alphabet buttons and Icicles I had for Christmas and lots of beautiful background paper which I had to... CUT UP! My excuse for hoarding was because I live in the UK and craft supplies were pretty hard to find around here - I'd have to rely on gifts from abroad or order it on the internet. Now we have no less than FOUR local shops nearby which sell stamping and SB stuff, so I have no excuse whatsoever.
Incidentally, don't you find that whenever you save things for the "bestest card ever" that it turns out a disaster? Mine always do!
Stupid Fiskars Shapecutters! HATE that thing. I swear I ... swore ... a LOT, while trying to figure it out. There it sits. You'r encouraging me to put it where it belongs....in the garbage! I just hate getting rid of all those templates...maybe I'll eBay them!
Other than that? My Stampin Pastels don't get much use anymore (used them like a fiend all last year).
I also have a fairly large assortment of Non SU (Versacolor) pigment ink cubes (1" x 1" - like SU should do for their craft inks!) that I never use any more.
But mostly what sits unused.....are my other crafts! (Cross stitch, sewing, crocheting)
