Can you use the vanilla or white craft inks to watercolor? I use that technique a lot and am wondering if you can do the same with the craft ink. What about using the AquaPainter with it? I do have the WWCs so I can use that, but didn't know if I would risk ruining anything if I tried this other techniques.
Anna, SweetMissDaisy, taught me to watercolor with craft inks and yes you can do it. I use a Stampin Up set empty box and I tap the ink pad in the box a few times to get some ink, then I use an aquapainter to paint just like I would with Classic ink. It works beautifully if you want a more opaque effect. Once I'm done I clean the box out with a wet wipe.
This card is done with aquapainter and craft ink Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for the info, Ally. I'll try it out with the aquapainter. I really wasn't sure I should try my blender pen and will take Jutta's advice and not!
OMG - LINDA! Those cards are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!! Can you come do the painting for me!? I love the way they look and will definitely start experimenting. I love the poinsettia card! Well, all three of those you gave examples of -- LOVE THEM!
Thanks Ladies, I was really stuck for a third project for my club next week! Now I'm not! I will be water colouring the sock monkey set, using craft ink and a blender pen!
