Kimberly I have to tell you I thought your ideas were so good that I made copies of your mounting instructions to share with all my friends at our card/stamping club because my girlfriend is a new TAC rep and we all have new sets of stamps! Hope you didnt have your instructions copyrighted ;)! I told her to share them with her customers!
Thanks for the good info!

No copyright on my words! I hope they help someone with the indexing of their stamps. (Again, I wasn't the one who came up with this idea... just sharing the procedure!)

I just ordered two unmounted background stamps with vinyl cling backing. I thought I would experiment with the unmounted idea since my 20+ SU backgrounds take up so much space and are so heavy with the big wood blocks!
How do you store the large BG's (4.5" x 6") that are unmounted? They are too big for a CD case.
Ok ladies i have another question, I recently bought the stiches set from TAC and the stamps are too long to fit in a CD case, what do you use to store your bigger or long stamps like these? Thanks in advance because I just ordered the ribbon set also......and dont know what i will do to store these either!

I store my TAC stitches stamps as well as my unmounted wheels in one of the larger plastic cases. (I'm not sure if it's a TAC or SU case.) If you look in my gallery, there's a pic of all of my CDs... and under the red ATG gun, you'll see the case with the long stamps. I think there's maybe ten wheels plus the Stitches stamps stored in the case. I would think a person could store their background stamps in a large case. Even though it takes up room, think how many stamps fit in that case! You could probably have maybe five or six background stamps in a case.

Here are a couple of new photos. The one is sort blurry, but you get the point. ;) I also store my long acrylic mount in this case too.. since I only use it with the long stamps.

I store my unmounted backgrounds on the cling board that you can get from Sunday International or TAC and each board will hold 4 BG stamps and then the boards go into a three ring binder. I put a sheet of paper that I stamp the BG on as an index between each board.
