You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Chocolate speaks the language of love no more clearly than on Valentine’s Day! For a sweet treat for your sweetheart or just as a sweet gesture for a friend, stamp a chocolate bar cover or cocoa holder to make that chocolate delight sweeter yet.
The chocolate bar holder paper size will depend on the size chocolate bar you use. For my sample, I had a Ghirardelli 3-oz bar that measured 6.25” by 3” and was a quarter inch deep. Scoring the paper to wrap around the length of the bar helps create a crisp seam. I used background paper for the main part of the wrapper and then decorated it accordingly using red tinsel and gold embossing powders and Bazill paper.
I have to credit Sereikastamper for the instructions for the cocoa pouch. These were lifted directly from one of her posts. I also CASED her layout. See? If it weren’t for Sereikastamper, this challenge would not exist! Give her some love in her gallery.
As you can see from the instructions, this can also be used for a pouch of apple cider and one stamper suggested you could use it to hold seeds if it is close to springtime where you live. But tonight, we’re focusing on CHOCOLATE! Have fun!
Cocoa Holder/Apple Cider Holder
Half sheet of 12 x 12 Cardstock, so a 12 x 6-inch strip
Score at 2.5 and 7.5 inches
Fold and tear top half for just a touch of flair
Add two brads very near the edge of the inside flap to create the pocket
You have 45 minutes to complete this challenge.
When uploading, be sure to put the challenge code FEB07VSNB in the keyword section. If you use additional keywords, you must separate them with a comma. The keywords ensure that I am able to find the card for judging!
Copying and pasting the keyword code is recommended to avoid typos.
You do not have to post a link to your creation or a thumbnail in the chat thread to be judged, though doing so will increase the number of views your card receives.
If you have any questions, PeyygSue will be available in the chat thread. Happy stamping!

Don't forget the gallery takes a couple hours before it indexes, so anything recently uploaded (like the hostess samples) won't be visible via the keyword until later. Use the links that are now in the first post
I searched the keyword and got no photos found from the gallery????
It is working now, only have ten fingers, don't want my sticky toes on the keyboard, lol......the link to all submissions is now working at the top of the thread.

All you really need for this challenge is paper, ink and embellishments, and of course, your design is intended to hold some form of chocolate, cocoa or a candy bar. Did you have a specific supply in mind? In addition to those items you can use anything your imagination cooks up within 45 minutes, any type of embellishment you would like.
