I just uploaded a card to my blog that uses the versamark resist technique on glossy... and then I put it through my cuttlebug! I don't know if that's my absolute favorite technique with glossy, but I think it looks pretty cool. Of course anything done with the cuttlebug looks amazing, in my opinion.
Crayon resist!! I need to upload some ones I've made and love, but here's the one that I do have posted: (Hope I do this right!) Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I also LOVE to stamp with permanent ink and then color with markers. They are so easy to color with on glossy, you can add layers of color, and..best of all.. the markers make a cute little squeaky noise when you color with them!
Here's one of those: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I recently learned how to do the shaving cream technique using reinkers on glossy paper. I didn't have any reinkers of my own, so I used food coloring. Here's one I did for my aunt for Christmas. She lives near Barnegat Lighthouse. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
About a month ago the Technique lovers challenge, the Fossil Stone Technique, #94, was to use several drops of 2-3 reinkers, spread between layers of something like plastic folders (I actually used waxed paper). I think then cut a sheet of glossy in half, place the halves back to back (glossy side out) and lay on the waxed paper. rub the slightly mixed ink on to the cs. Dry and stamp.
I love doing the Retro Technique, using post-it-notes to block off sections and brayering color over. Learned this from Pat's Technique Junkies. http://www.patstamps.com/Newsletter
not sure what the name of this tech is but I learned it at a stampin show expo last year.It used stazeon ink pads.red, yellow, cactus green, black.and azure blue.
stamp your image in black first.then using a sponge duabe on the other colors seperating them not mixing together.then wipe off with a tissue.then again using the black ink.stamp words like inspire.wisdom,create,journey.then underline the words in a white pencil.the finished card looks awesome.

I love crayon resist. I also love using it for my new Cuttlebug Embossing folders!! I alove to use my brayer and Kaliedacolor rainbow pads to make a background. Then I use black ink to stamp the image. Landscapes and other stamps that are outdoors and nature work best for this. Joseph's Coat is also one that is fun! Here are the directions for this:
Josephs Coat Technique
1. Use a soft rubber brayer and ink it up using a Spectrum rainbow ink pad. Clean brayer by holding under running water.
2. Brayer onto glossy cardstock. Blot cardstock on paper to dry.
3. Rub glossy rainbow cardstock with the embossing buddy.
4. Stamp (Solid image works best) image on to card stock with a versamark stamp pad.
5. Sprinkle with crystal clear embossing powder. Tap excess onto scratch paperand return to jar. Replace lid.
6. Heat set embossing powder with heat gun or other method.
7. Ink soft rubber brayer with a very dark color of ink. Brayer onto the embossed rainbow glossy cardstock. Clean brayer with stamp cleaner. Use soft paper towel to blot excess ink off the embossed design..
I love the resist resist cards, they are so cool, they do emboss resist and versamark resist. Here is the challenge where it was posted: Resist Resist Challenge
I did a card last night where tapped dye ink onto glossy cardstock with a stipple brush. You can use different colors to make it look different. It's so easy and pretty. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Go to the home page here. There is a technique listed there for using glossy paper. It really looks neat, it's the one with the snowflake, and I was so impressed, I printed it out for future reference. Karen.
