Hi everyone,
My husband, who is a general manager for a restaurant chain based out here in the east, Longhorn Steakhouse, got an email at work yesterday from the Longhorn in Cumming, Ga.
The General Manager up there has a regular guest that comes in and
their son, who is 12, is terminally ill and this is his last
Christmas. His Christmas wish is to receive 10,000 Christmas cards.
Being that cards are our business....let's spend a 37 cent stamp for
this child and help make his Christmas wish come true! I am gonna post this on the SU Stampin' Discuss, but if you want to post it on other sites....feel free.
Thanks for your help!
His name and address are:
Nick Waters
304 Meadow Pt.
Canton, Ga. 30115
awwwwwwww that is so sad. Seeing as though I have an 11 and a 13 year old I just can imagine what the parents are going through. I will send a card off soon
I work at a police department in Missouri and our previous Chief of Police is working in Georgia now and emailed us this request. Our department sent out numberous cards to this young man and the group of girls that I make cards with sent cards also. In our email we were told that he wanted to receive mail because he doesn't receive mail like his sister did and he wanted specifically Christmas cards. I join along and ask that you send cards to this young man. What a simple way to make this young man smile.

me too
I just wrote down his address and will send one out today! I will get my relatives to do the same. This is such a great thing to do at this time of the year. Poor little boy. I have a 10 year old and the thought of losing him makes me cry. Let's do this ladies!
Thank you for asking for our help. I made some extra Chrismas cards that I was hoping I could find a good home for. I just put one in the mail for him.
Hi, Two more cards are on the way, one from my son, and one from me.
This brave boy will be in our prayers over the holidays. Thanks for letting us help.

Hi Ladies,
While I do not know Nick, I do know that he goes to my church here in Woodstock Georgia (Atlanta). Thank you all so much for your cards and your prayers. God bless you for helping to make Nick's Christmas wish come true.

It brought tears to my eyes to know that something as simple as a card could mean so much to someone and to think about how strong this young boy obviously is !!! Thanks again for posting this information !!!
I'm e-mailing it to everyone on my distribution list !!!
I know Nick will exceed his goal thanks to so many caring people !!!
