I also made some dress your own Maccabees with a Cricut paper doll cartridge. I had the different pieces andd in a cello bag. I can't find a picture of those right now.
I remember your Maccabees. They were really great. I don't enjoy my cricut so much and it is a little late. Maybe next year for that. I did tags a few years ago I loved how they turned out, tons of work, no one wanted to pay for them. I think a few hanukkah cards would be great.
Hello
This is a great thread and this is my first time sharing a Jewish Holiday project here at the gallery.
Thank you for keeping this great thread alive and well!
Chag Sameach everyone!
I have more pictures of this project over my blog too. I would love if you could drop by! Thank you everyone!

Sorry I'm so bad about posting my pictures of the craft fair. It was OK. My DH sold all of his chocolate pretzels, I sold a few cards, and the small covered match boxes. I was suprized that the large match boxes didn't sell, after all Chanukah is all about candles.
On another (sadish) note, the website Jewishscrapbooking.com was bought out. It now seems to have nothing to do w/scrapbooking or anything Jewish. It's time for a new site anyone have spare time?? LOL
I'm invited to a "hanging of the mezuzah" open house and am making a card to go with a house warming gift. Any recommendations for an appropriate saying/phrase.
TIA
Mazel Tov on your new home? Any kind of congratulations on a new house would work.
That's a really neat idea for a house warming. I've never heard of that before. you could make one of those cards that look like a front door -- it would be really appropriate! Without the wreath on front, though.

Hi,
Just a simple Mazel Tov! is appropriate and appreciated.
Does anyone know where I can get Hebrew alphabet stamps or hebrew sentiments written in hebrew alphabet? i checked out the classics- ruth's stamps, zumgaligali, 888dreidel (or something)- but either the stamps are boring or there isnt enough variety to justify a purchase and shipping fee. For now I think I'm going to have a friend in Israel order from an Israeli website for me. Not ideal but I live in the US so i cant really complain. Btw, I'm Chabad (chabad.org), a Chasidic, ultra-orthodox Jewish lifestyle, and Im fluent in Hebrew- speaking, reading, writing- and I'm willing to answer questions. Happy stamping, whatever your religion!
Welcome & na'em me'od!! If you search "Alef Bet Stamps" you'll get a bunch of hits, but none of them are really great quality. When I want Hebrew sentiments, I usually print them out on my computer, like with these honey sticks for Rosh Hashanah: Rosh Hashanah Honey Sticks by Yapha - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Can't wait to see some of your creations!

Welcome creativechbdcrafts! I agree with Yapha. When I need something in Hebrew, I print it on my computer like I did with this sympathy card. Hope to see some of your work soon!
those honey sticks are adorable! and the card is beautiful, but you should make cards for happier occasions! when I post once more I'll include a link to some of my work
Time to start thinking about Purim and Passover cards!

Thank you all for your posts on this thread. I just found it tonight! It was so informative and had great ideas. I hope to incorporate some of them for my card making. I sent Chanukah cards this year after many years of not sending any. Now I will make some New Year cards as well. I hope this thread continues as I've now subscribed to it!! Thanks again, Karen

I don't have this one posted anywhere Miriam, but here's another example (last year's Pesach card) of using my printer to print the Hebrew letters. I'm working on this year's card. And let me tell you, it's stinkin' cute!
Love that one, Debbi! I can't wait to see this year's!

Wow stampinCPA, your sympathy card is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
My friend Cindy posted this snowflake card. Then Yapha said, "Hey! That looks like a Jewish Star." And she gave me a tutorial she made. And I said, "Wouldn't that be fun to do for a Passover card? Something a little different." So I started surfing for matzah scrapbook paper.
Then Yapha pinned a tutorial on pinterest for making wine cups from the Tab punch. What??!! Brilliant!! Focal image dilemma solved! Not sure I love the backside of the matzah paper, but it will have to do.
So Thank You Cindy and Thank You Yapha - for the inspiration and how to's!!

I'm always looking for new Jewish stamps. I started collecting them about 8 or 9 years ago when there were very few. Does rubber Cafe ever have coupons or sales. I did see their shipping cost was great.TFS.
If you haven't done it yet go to Yapha's website and check out her cards!! Great use of non-Jewish specific stamp to make the matzo and texture!! Really creative.
