Default Cleaning my new rubber scissors

I just got my new rubber scissors...which I love by the way. I saved a bunch of stamps to mount and used my scissors but, how do I clean the sticky stuff off. I know all you "wise and all knowing" ladies out there would be able to tell me what to use for this. I just love how they cut the rubber so nicely to mount I don't want to do anything to ruin them. Thanks so much for your help.

Goo Gone on a paper towel, wipe off the sticky stuff from the blades & Voila all clean. Be very careful though cause those blades are Verrrrry sharp. I speak from the wisdom of having sliced my fingertips (more than once)! Hope this helps.

I use Alcohol Prep-pads like the ones that nurses use on your fingertips. But yes...BEWARE TO SHARP BLADE!

I use this great stuff called DeSolveIt. Just squirt it on and use a paper towel to wipe it off. It's in the cleaner aisle. The other great thing this stuff does is takes grease out of clothes - even after they are washed and dryed! You know the kind where you didn't realize the grease splashed on you until you put the shirt back on! LOL!

I use those Pledge orange citrus cleaners. They are in those pop up cans and you take one out at a time (like wet ones) and it removes the gummy stuff off the scissors without all the grease from the other cleaners like Goo Gone and such. I've used the other cleaners and just prefer the Pledge.

Great tips ladies! I was very lucky- I loaned my scissors to a hostess to try out and she returned them to me sparkling clean! Then, she ordered a pair of her own. Sweet!

I love it! Out of 13 posts, there are almost as many tips to try. Where else would you get 10 different ways/products you can use to clean your scissors!

I use rubbing alcohol, and then grease my scissors up with a bit of olive oil so the adhesive doesn't stick so much. I have also heard that you can press your clean scissors into your VersaMark pad to keep the gunk from building up, but I have to say that that didn't work so well for me.

You all rock!

I use canola oil, I already have it on hand and save money by not buying a special use item.

Oh I use generic Goo Gone along with a baby diaper I use as a rag. Comes right off. I was so curious about the Mr Clean eraser idea. I tried it and it worked pretty good but shredded the eraser a bit. Those things are weird. I can't figure out what is in them.hhmmmm Might have to start a post to find out...

Default Sticky Stuff Remover

Un-Du, Un-Du, Un-Du. It's safe even for your children to use. I use it even on my sticky fingers. It's really the coolest stuff since ummmmm, well I can't think of anything but it's fabulous!

Find it in your friendly Wal Mart.

In a pinch, like when my goo gone is missing & my undu is empty  , I use peanut butter! It takes sticky stuff off & I always have it on hand......one of my staples in my diet, but that's another topic.....

Here's another idea for you... I use Bath and Body Works hand gel. We started using it at work when we would use the ink pad and get ink on our hands, you don't have to wash it off, just use a kleenex. And it smells good too..
I received about 4 or 5 last year for Christmas, and needed a use for them. Now I have one at my work station all the time.

I also love the Mr. Clean pads. I use them everywhere too!!! But I found that I have to wear rubber gloves because they dry my hands and fingers out soo bad..
