What is the estimated length of time it takes for apackage to get to Canada.I sent out 2 swaps each 1 week apart from one another. My first swap went out 2 weeks ago.the 2nd one 1 week after that.both were sent out first class.
I live in MA.just to give anyone who lives in this area.the idea of how long it takes to send a swap to Canada. So if you live close to MA.and recently sent a first class package to Canada how long was it before the hostess got your swap.I need to know for the next time I have to send a package there.so I can know how long it takes .so I'm not going out of my mind like now wondering if it makes it there.
Driving me nuts.

I hope it doesn't take that LONG.GEE!from now on I guess I'll just send priority to save all the frustration it gives me.or does priority take longer than 3 days.

It depends on customs. I usually send swaps way too early. Sometimes it just goes through and it would take about a week to mid US - or it could take a month. I recieved my first order from AddictedtoScrapbooking.com recieved it in about 1 1/2 weeks. My second order took just over a month because it was held up at customs. DH has had online orders held up at customs but was usually around 2 weeks. It's so unpredictable. Also the postal services and post offices do not run on Sunday. If your package was going to the Altlantic provinces (NS, NB, PEI, and Newfoundland) or southern Ontario I would say that is a long time. If it is going west BC or Alberta it should arrive soon. My experience is that it is much faster for me to send something to CA than to BC.

I used to sell some stuff on ebay and it would always take a good 2 weeks, and I live in Michigan -- just a stone's throw across Lake Superior -- go and figure. I think it is their system there -- and you can not send Priority Mail to Canada -- that is within the US only -- unless you go Global Priority -- could you do that -- but it would probably cost a lot. I always figure on at least 2 weeks to anywhere in Canada.
I sent a package to Canada and it came back as REFUSED by Canadian Customs because the zip code had roman numerals???? HUH???? I re-mailed it using the exact same address (and zip code) and it got there.

I've ordered things from the US...packages usually only take 1 or 1.5 weeks and a card about a week. I just received a HUGE envelope - full size letter size full of IRAKs today and it took 9 days from MI. Hope this helps!
Usually takes 2 weeks for me to get anything from the US. I don't usually start to get antsy about it untill 2 1/2 - 3 weeks. Anytime that it has taken longer it is because the sender didn't send it right away and when I look at the postmark it is about 2 weeks from when I received it. Amazing enough, things get here quicker at christmas time!
It has taken a full two weeks for letters and parcels to get to Saskatchewan (just north of Montana and North Dakota) from the US, no matter what state it was. But recently it has gotten way faster and taken in some cases only a week. Even within Canada, the postal service is very erratic.

That is strange.....I have a friend at the post office(in Canada), I will have to ask her about that one.

That is so funny but so NOT funny at the same time. EVERY Canadian knows there are letters in postal codes so if they were looking for a zip code it should not be leaving the US (the customs workers should definately know that).
