Default Looking for 12x12 paper hanging file type storage

Hey -

Anyone know where I can find a sturdy plastic box made for hanging files that will fit 12x12 paper? With a lid would be super.

Thanks for your help!
Jen

I've never tried this, but I remembered seeing it a few days ago while browsing:

The Scrapeze storage is pretty cool, but it would never work for me. I'd have to buy too many to hold all my paper and that would make it too expensive.

I bought a Cropper Hopper paper cart, then made my own 12x12 hanging folders (from regular sized ones). It fits my needs perfectly. See it here.

not to hi-jack, but I'm so intregued! how did you convert regular folders to 12x12? I'd love to learn how to do this!

and to the OP, this isn't exactly what you were asking about, but I love my 12x12 hanging filer cubes from store-in-style. I don't know if this would fit your needs, but they're awesome, and about the same price as that storage box if you use a 40% off coupon. I know JoAnns usually carries that stuff.
here's a link to a place that sells them just to give you a visual

I just did a google search, and this one came up, I'm sure many places cary them.

good luck finding the perfect storage!

I bought the Cropper Hopper Class Tote and Heavy Duty Workstation at joann.com. I later saw one at a Joann Superstore which would be nice with their 40% off coupon without paying for shipping. I like the tote, because it has a clear lid to keep the dust out. I do think it is way to heavy to tote around once you fill it up with paper and folders, though.

I also ordered the Retrospect hanging file folders from joann.com, because they are cheaper than the Cropper Hopper ones and I'm too lazy to make my own.

I saw the Cropper Hopper 12 x 12 cart today at Michael's. It was $80 (plus) but with this week's 50% off coupon it would be more reasonable. It is dark green plastic and has wheels so you can roll it and a clear hinged lid and it has a shelf below the removable paper bin. I bought one several years ago so I can tell you that it measures 24 1/2" tall, is 21 3/4" wide (counting paper pocket storage added to the side; 17 1/4" without) and 14 1/2" deep. Mine also came with a small carrying case that hangs from a hook on the front. I'll see if I can find a link for one.

Then at Hobby Lobby I saw a metal cart, but it wasn't a brand I am familiar with and the box wasn't marked with a price, but they have all their scrapbook storage for 30% off this week.

Here's a link. Sounds like they have improved it somewhat, but mine is the all plastic one and it is crammed full of paper and is holding up just fine. I don't see the small carrying case, so it might not be included. Michael's price is less than the website price.

you can also use 11x14 file folder boxes (since they are 14 wide) and do the same conversion to be deeper like the poster above...

Thanks for the ideas. I am going to bargain hunt for prices, but I am considering either the CH workstation or the CH hanging file cart. My birthday is coming up...YAY. Since I live in the boonies, I'll probably have to order it, but Joanne's has free shipping frequently.
