Default Want to own a small rubber stamp company?

I have purchased a few stamps from The Old Island Stamp Company. Great products. Great people.
Just got the news that the owner, Steve Mueller, is about to retire and is selling everything. Thought perhaps (with all the thousands of stampers here) that one of you might be interested.

I know nothing about small businesses. I know nothing about moving to Canada from USA or about moving a business from Canada to USA. In fact..... I really know nothing. Just go to the website and click on Steve's "Business for Sale" sign.

I suppose I could put in a small plug for tourism to Salt Spring Island. It is a great place to visit. I once caught a mighty big salmon just off the north shore. www.saltspringisland.org/

They have some really neat stamps and are pretty close to where I live. How have I never heard of them?

Garnet, that's just cruel. If it were three years from now I'd have a shot at it, but I have to stay here for right now . . .

Wow, what a great opportunity. Thanks for sharing the info, Garnet.
I just LOVE Salt Spring Island, and ... I just happen to love rubber stamps!! How wild is that.

Now let's see, where did I put that extra $150,000?

Anyone want to partner up with me?

Maybe it's in the same place I put my extra $150,000!

I second GarnetJ's endorsement of the Gulf Island area as a GREAT vacation spot. DH and I were on our 20th anniversary trip--stayed at Poet's Cove Resort on Pender Island. Best vacation of our lives. We took an outing to the Saturday market on Salt Spring Island and I bought some stamps from Old Island Stamps. DH thought it was so funny to see stamps and took a pic of me buying some! They were advertising the business then and I thought Great stamps, great area. Too bad I'm no businesswoman and DH is a few years from retiring from the USAF!
