glue

Hi,
I want to make some mini calendars to put on my acrylic post-it holders but I don't know what kind of glue/adhesive to put on the top of the calendars. I want to adhere them together so that the person can tear off the month when it is finished.
I hope someone out there can help me.

If you want to do what's called a perfect binding (stack the paper, glue one end of the stack), then you can use PVA glue. Use a stencil brush to spread the glue onto the edge of the stack pretty thickly and let dry. (Use a binder clip or heavy weight to hold the stack in place while you glue.) PVA is archival, but I imagine you could use rubber cement instead if you don't care about acid-free.

You can also use padding compound by Sparco. I got it at Viking but other office supply stores have it also. You clip your pages together with a bulldog clip, apply the compound and let it sit. The compound is pink and gives the topa pinkish/red appearance.
