Default paper & tall tales

First the paper...
there is a lot of new paper, lots of browns, pinks & blues, argyle pattern, circle pattern, paisley pattern... stripes, checks, most of it is actually pretty nice - I'm a scrapbooker and most of the paper is pretty current style wise.

tall tales - be happy you bought it... it's not in the catalogue!!
I'm actually disappointed in the alphabet selection. Since they took so many out, I had high hopes for the new sets.

Question: Are the watercolour crayons divided into the four family colours now and a neutral set? Do you know the price for each set (Canadian)????

Oh I need to save more money to spend, spend, spend!

And YAY on Monkey Business being in the new catty!
Hey - I'm in Winnipeg too!
re: watercolour crayons....
watercolor wonder crayons are divided into the 4 color groups (12 per pkg) and also a neutral package (6 per pkg) prices in CANADIAN DOLLARS are $28.95 and $13.95 for the neutrals. I've never used these are they good??

It changes as your posts go up in number. There's a thread somewhere! It's titled What is a Cardstock Collector, I think.

I bet all the people who paid upwards of $50 for their On the Spot background stamp on ebay are kicking themselves (of course I got outbid 20 times!!)!

Thanks for the spoiler...and I don't have to kick myself about not buying Unfrogettable!!

Newtwo, I love the watercolour crayons ... I bought the Bold Brights from a lady on ebay who broke them up into sets ... and they are really really nice. Now I will be able to buy the other colours too, and the neutrals! Oh man, I can see the $$ leaving my bank account already! Whereabouts in Winnipeg are you? I'm actually outside of Winnipeg, near Beausejour, but I work in Winnipeg. How new to stamping are you?

I live in North Kildonan. I've been scrapbooking for a couple years and then last winter (Feb '05) my sister became an SU demo and I quickly got hooked on card making, I also try and use the stamps in my scrapbooking. My sister started a stampers club, we get together once a month, spend $28 each per month and 1 of the months you are the 'hostess' and get the benefits. There's a little more to it, but it's lots of fun, we learn a new technique every time, have some dessert and chat,chat,chat...

Kim ... that's cool. I've been scrapbooking for a couple years now too and I started stamping last summer ... I love it! I found a stampers club in Selkirk that I go to and we have a ton of fun. Our minimum is $40 per month ... have fun on this site, it is awesome! I'm hoping that maybe my demo got her catalogues in ... she is having an open house this weekend ... I can only hope! Nice to meet you, Kim!

Sooo, I was looking in the catalog to try to figure out the "SU-Exchange Rate" from Canada to US... for the price of the crayons (28.95). I don't think it is the standard exchange rate (that is why I called it SU-Exchange rate). Anywhoo, I found that Loads of Love was 28.95 in the Canada book and 19.95 in the US catty -- so can I assume that the crayons will be 19.95? Yikes - glad I already purchased mine, but I will have to add on the neutral set!

Some sets have gone down a dollar or two - any ones in particular you're wondering about?

No set in particular...I just wonder since we got a whopping 20 cents off the classic pads, what to expect for the stamp sets. Thanks!

LOL - I feel the same way, and the paper went up - so really we're out a nickel everytime we buy matching paper and ink!

the background stamps are $22.95, wonderful words - down $1, heartfelt thanks, down $2 - that's kind of how it goes. At least it's something.

I simply can't believe Tall Tales didn't "make the cut!" I got it when it was in the mini and I love it - use it all the time.

Wow.

really cute camping set - a big one though, for us Canadians it's $40.95
a nice 'song birds' set & a 'wild life reserve set' - 14 animal stamps in that one - then there's 'bugs & kisses' - cute especially for kid stuff, a skunk set, and a squirrel set. There's lots of great stuff in this catalogue.

Neither of these wheels are on the accessory retirement list (shown here), so you should see both of them in the new catty.

Edit to add link.

Hi,
I have avoided wheels - because, well, you know, the extra cost. These wheels make me want to buy wheels. They are adorable if you like simply said. They are both jumbo, the first one uses the image of that tiny stamp in the set, but it is bigger and there are swirls of words if that makes sense that say nothing starts a smile quicker than kindness - my religion is kindness - how beautiful a day can be when kindness touches it - scatter kindness all along your way - and some more that are blocked by a sample card.
the second one - uses the images of the 2 flowers that both have a solid and dotted image. There are different sizes of them and they are overlapping.
both are very nice and are $10.95

beautiful hostess sets - the level one sets are wonderful. There are 7 of them and they are very unique, one is 6 sentiments in a nice casual script, one is for the tag punch - which by the way can be bought on its own now. (There's a nicer new one in the catalogue) For level one there is also a scrapbooking kit that looks alot like an S.E.I. set. Level 2 & 3 you can check out in the gallery under sneak peak.

There are 7 of them and they are very unique, one is 6 sentiments in a nice casual script, one is for the tag punch - which by the way can be bought on its own now. (There's a nicer new one in the catalogue) For level one there is also a scrapbooking kit that looks alot like an S.E.I. set. Level 2 & 3 you can check out in the gallery under sneak peak.

what about the hostess sets that are in the current (soon to be expired) catalog - are any of them in it?
