Location:Zapatas Mexican Restaurant, 8 Eastport Plaza Drive, Collinsville, IL. PH: (61 343-1337 Time: 6:30/7 pm The restaurant is beside the Ramada Ltd. and Super 8 Motel.
Gathering Information:
Date: Saturday, July 22, 2006.
July 21st we will meet for dinner, have an informal crop (if time allows), and just time to get to know each other. I thought it would be fun to plan a little something the night before our big day! Everyone is welcome to participate.
Where: Son Life Church, Collinsville Christian Academy 1203 Vandalia, Collinsville, Illinois, 62234. *15 mins from the Arch in St. Louis Time: 8am-8pm ***Theme: Tropical*** Lunch & Dinner will be served. Please bring non-perishable snacks. If you did not sign up on Randi's snack list...Bring Chips, Drinks, Or Cookies/Dessert.

We went last summer to a game and about passed out from the heat...But to just be at the game was a blast! And our friends got us some rockin good seats...I can't wait to see them play again. :razz:

Ooooo, you could not sit by my DH at a game. He hates the Braves.
Hope you can make it when we have the SCS gathering. It would be great to me the Validated One!

when I was there last September, it was SUPER nice out! I even wore jeans to the game!
we were melting ice and pouring it on our legs and tootsies just to keep cool! IT WAS HOTTT! I do believe it was the hottest day of the summer...Just our luck!
There was one other Braves fan in the crowd and he was 2 seats down from me!!
It was probably a guy I go to church with - I don't think he misses one Cards/Braves game! LOL Even if the Braves aren't playing you should try to catch a game in the new Busch stadium in its maiden year.

We those battery operated fans to take but we didn't need 'em! I am taking them this year just in case!

Okay, I voted for July, but I will do my best to be there whenever the date is set.

If we do it in July I totally might be able to go!!!! I can't believe it! I will have to drive about 4 hours from Indiana/Illinois but I will soooo do it to meet my fav SCS girls!
I just told DH and he looked at me like I was an alien, he says "Have Fun" my reply..."I will b/c you and the kids are going to saty with your mom and I'm going to stamp!" Then he says why don't you just fly, why drive, it won't cost that much...I LOVE THAT MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well after investigating the Card sched., I might come down without going to a game! I have to come down a Thurs-Sun and noone good is coming! The Braves and the "stros are coming during the week! BLAH!

Misty...There is tons of stuff for your 7 yo to do...If you bring yours then I can bring mine too...We will keep the Dad's busy! LOL
There is the Science Museum, the Kids Center at St. Louis Mills...and tons more. I will post and share more info later.
No way, I would get to meet BETH?!?! Just kidding! It would be super fun, but there's no way I would know for sure for awhile. Depends on dh's work stuff and when you schedule it. I don't really know what busy times are for him yet, but we usually do go for a long weekend in the summer. (and if I had something like this to go to it would be SOOOO much more bearable) If you can't tell, I do not enjoy trips to my in-laws.
Since lots of people will be going to SLC for the convention in July, could we somehow tie them together? I could not do both, but I want to come so badly!!!!
OK I might just be able to do this! I'm only about 3 hours away, I could drive that! Just need to talk to my DH and work out details when we know them! Anyone else in Central IL (or south along 55) wanna carpool?
