Anyone else have problems with cutomer service at Sizzix? I received a gift certificate for christmas. When I received my order one of the dies would not cut all the way through. I tried using all the different trouble shooting suggestions. Nothing worked. I emailed customer service and they said I had to send it back,at my cost, and they would test it to see if it worked. If it did not work they would replace it. They sent it back to me. It arrived in a case that was cracked and broken and it still did not work. I have never had this problem with any of my other dies. I am not new to using a die cutting system. I have been using Ellisons in school for years. I contacted them about it and they said it tested fine before it was shipped. I still love the Sizzix product but I will never order from them directly again. If I buy from a store there is no problem returning them. Thanks, I just needed to vent.
I have bought most of my Sizzix dies from Creativexpress when they have the sales. I had a problem with one of mine and they told me to keep that one and they'd ship out another one at their expense. I don't think I've ever bought directly from Sizzix.
Your experience doesn't make me want to purchase from them, either. Sorry they weren't more helpful!
The only time I've ordered directly from Sizzix was a nightmare. They had a huge birthday sale and before everything was said and done and I'd gotten my whole order, more than 3 months had passed by. At least they were willing to work with me in getting things solved, as they should since it was their errors.
That said, I've heard about Sizzix service that it is very hit and miss depending on who you get on the phone or who handles your case.

I have the Accucut system which I could recommend, because I love the machine, but their customer service is worse, much worse than Sizzix.
I know with my Accucut, some dies are slightly thicker, like less than a hair, and it makes all the difference in how it cuts. I sometimes have to add a shim, even a pc of cardstock under the die to raise it up, sometimes it's a pc of thin printer paper. But it helps, but it's very annoying.
The owner of the local scrapbook store won the Ellison sidekick at a convention and the die she got with it won't cut the whole image no matter what she tries. The little machine is quite cute and probably worth the money but the dies need help.

I had the exact same problem. I'll never order directly from them again, even at 40% off, or whatever that sale was.
I had a problem with my sidekick. They took it back at my expense, broke it open to get out the die told me it was my fault and wouldn't replace it but did I want the bits back, at my expense! Fancy making something that can get jammed and that can't be fixed. I could have broken it open myself!
HI!
Wow, I'm sorry to read about the bad customer service and problems with Sizzix products. I've had the large machine for over 2 years now, I just love it. I have bought over 100 dies from the Sizzix site. I prefer the original dies over any of their other products. I only have 3 sets of the Sizzlets. I won't buy the alphabets since I have so many from SU.
I save up for the 40% off or 50% off and buy enough for the free shipping. I've never waited any longer for an order from them that I have had to wait for an order from SU. Every die has worked, although I am sure one of these days I'll get a die that doesn't work well. I always try each die out before storing them to make sure they work, just in case.
Although I've never had to contact their customer service over a problem I would not be pleased if I had received similar answers. Does it work to contact a supervisor over the person on the phone? I know that when I used to be a Demo from SU there would sometimes be different answers from different people at demo support. I wonder if Sizzix has a similar problem, must be common with a lot of people not all getting the same training.
My dissatisifaction with purchases at Michael's is the fact that they don't carry as wide an assortment as the Sizzix site. A lot of times when I have the money to spend there either isn't a 40% off coupon or the die I want isn't there or the dies are on sale at 25% off. So I appreciate learning the name of another source, I'll be checking that site out. Thanks
My biggest problem right now is finding sites with ideas. I really like mixing stamping and the die cuts, but sometimes I need helping getting new or different ideas. There are so many stamping websites and groups and such, not nearly as many for die cuts. Does anyone know of any websites that they can share?
CreativeXpress will honor any sales that Sizzix or Hobby Lobby etc. are having and I love ordering from them. What the lady does, is go to the website of the co. that is having a sale and when she verifies the sale, you get the sale price. I have done that 2 times and have been VERY Pleased.
