Matchbox set- For envelopes sized 4 3/8 x 5 3/4 and cards 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
Box - 6 3/8 x 7 3/4 CS. Score 1" on each side. (Rotate until all four sides have been scored.) On the long sides of the CS, cut to make the tabs. (Cut only to the intersecting score line.) Total of 4 cuts- 2 on each long side.
Optional: Use a 1" circle punch on the long sides, in the middle and punch 1/2 circles to make notches. This makes it easier to get the cards out of the box.
Place double sided tape on the top edges of the tabs and attach to the inside of the box.
Cover - 6 1/4 x 12 CS. Score at the following measurements... 1 1/16, 5 5/8, 6 11/16, and 11 5/16. (I know some of these measurements seem petty, but if scored accurately your cover will fit nicely over the box!) Fold the scored lines and place double sided tape on the outside of the narrower of the two ends. This will attach to the inside of the wider end for a nice finish!! When done you should have a rectangle box sleeve with even sides.
Decorative band: 1" x 12". Crimp strip. Wrap around the box sleeve and crease around the edges. Ends are on top. Stamp your image and matte to your liking. I usually put 2 mattes, then crimped strip, and then my matted image on top.
I have several sets pictured in my gallery...
