Okay where is that lady from Mary? Can we meet up with her? I could really use new ideas and techniques. Also it's tons of fun getting together. We can make it a girls night out, YAY!! ;)
I moved to Dallas 13 years ago, have lived in Garland for the last 11 years. I will be moving to Cleburne, Texas next year(just south of Burleson, about 45 minutes south of Fort Worth).
No plans of living anywhere else, we do miss seasons, but love the people.

I'm a 7th generation Texan living in Oklahoma, but my daughter and family live in San Antonio! "You can take the girl out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the girl!" to paraphrase an old saying. : )

Born and raised in VA but I am now a true Texan! I am living in San Antonio. I am a newbie stamper....would love to get together with other stampers out there!!
I just found this part of the site...I just moved to New Braunfels, from Northern VA. No one is more proud of their Lone Star State then you Texans! I would love any hints on fun places to go with the fam! (day trips or weekend trips).
Even bought a few cowboy inspired stamps since moving here!

Welcome to the Hill Country. There are tons of things to do with your family right in your own backyard. Have y'all been to Natural Bridge Caverns or the safari park yet? The new kids museum in NB is cool and there are several art museums here in San Antonio that are fun. When they open again in the spring Sea World and Six Flags will both have new coaters (yeah!!!:-D ) And y'all will of couse have to go to Schlitterbahn when it opens...just don't try to go on the weekends!!

I think I'm in central Texas -- is College Station central? I got jealous when I went into the LSS, Scrapbook Country, and saw all the Aggie 12x12 papers and scrapbooks, and the Aggie rubber stamps. My universities 'back home' in Canada don't have anything like that!

I was born and raised in east Texas. I'm from a little bitty town called Huntington, TX. I moved to Arkansas with my husband in 2002 for the AF and we couldn't wait to get back here when he got out. Been back for almost 2 years now.
I was born and raised in California.. spent most of my life there. We moved out to Cedar Park, TX in 2002. I love it here...my only complaint is the loooong hot summers.
Are all you Texans aware that there is a SCS gathering on April 28 in Arlington, TX? There are only a couple of spots left. See the thread in "Get It Together" that was posted by emilymomto3boys. Fun, fun, fun!!!
I have been a Texan all of my life. I grew up in San Angelo, went to college at A&M, and moved to the north Dallas area when I got married 6.5 years ago.

Hi. I was born in Comanche, TX, grew up in Brownwood, Tx and moved to Carrollton, TX about 21 years ago.
Hi again, didn't realize you were a Comanche girl! My DH has family there, and I shop the square a few times a year. We've spent July 4th at Lake Proctor for the past 20 years! Do you still have family there?

I was born in Guatemala to American born parents serving in the military and have lived in Texas for more than 50 years. I've lived in Sugar Land for the past 30.
When I moved to Sugar Land, it was nothing but country livin' and farm land all around me, but that's not true today. The big city of Houston has tipped our city limits and Sugar Land is now a thriving community. One of the State's fastest growing areas over the past 10+ years.
I am another Texan. I live in Whitehouse, just south of Tyler, in beautiful east Texas. When I see the weather reports of upstate New York I just shiver, and look outside at our pretty sunshine today.
But you're Englishrose! I'm so confused!!!! *holds head in hands*
Taken me a while to get back. Sorry to confuse you! Yes, I'm English, but DH is in the USAF so we came here almost 2 years ago now. After taking about 10 months to settle in, I actually love it here. Shame we have to move next year.
Howdy, Yall! Born and raised in west Fort Worth, White Settlement to be exact! (Frist settlement outside of the fort not settled first by the Indians) I'm proud to be a Texan. Lived in Calif. when I was in the 4th grade and found out they didn't like Texans there. Pushed me off the school house porch and I carry the scar on my knee to this day. Thank God Daddy brought us back home right after that, and I "ain't" leaving again!
I just wanted to bump this up. I have noticed a few Texas newbies & I wanted to give them a chance to check out this thread. :-D
I don't know how I missed this thread - I'm certainly not a newbie, but I am from Texas! Born and raised here. I live in Lamesa, a small West Texas town and have lived in this area all of my life. Born is Big Spring, raised in Tarzan, started college in San Angelo, finished in Lubbock (Go Raiders - get your guns up!) I've been in Lamesa 10 years now - I'll probably never leave!
