Scrappin' Challenge 2011
Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 & 2010 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2011! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2011! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for February. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for this month, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2011 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
(Pssst...in case you're interested in the "history", here's the thread that started it all 4 years ago...
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc11sep"

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )
You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play
I will post our Scrap Budgets here...let's see if we can band together and encourage everybody to keep on goal

I am looking forward to starting back to my scrapbooking. John and Jen (my youngest son) were married in March and he and my DIL are looking forward to their scrapbook like I made for Ryan and Staci (my oldest son). So my goal for September is 6 pages … you all inspire me to get the pages done!

I am trudging along here. I completed 76 of 100.
I will still set my goal as 10 for September.
Thank you for helping us reach our goals by encouraging us to set goals!
Sharon
I can't believe I missed my August goal by one page...oh well, something is better than nothing. I plan to finish my ABC album pages this month with VSBN so that is 18 pages; I guess that makes my goal this month :-) I did go back and update/fix my digi pages from the mini so I'll be updating them in my gallery. Very overwhelming week and hoping next week is the start of an easier schedule!
I made a goodly dent in my goal for August, It remains to be seen how many I get done in Sept but my goal is 12 as always. I have a feeling I will not "up" my goal for next year unless I kick it into high gear and met the 144 I need for 2011.
Next on my TO DO list is get a 6 foot cat5 cable so I can take my pc to my studio where I can surf the net while watching tv. It seems to be the only time I leave comments is while relaxing in my easy chair. Now that my wireless is no longer wireless it cuts into my relaxing time.
I am so excited about getting back into my scrapbooking ... it's a 3-day weekend and my plans are to scrap, scrap, and more scrap!
Me too! Me Too! I got 12 pages done last weekend and several cards and my MOJO seems to be ready for another weekend of scrapping ... yay! I'm also hoping to start cleaning out my Scrap Room ;) It's time ....

After falling far short of my goal the past two months, I should be cautious and only shoot for ten this month, but as Alexander Pope wrote, "hope springs eternal in the human breast!" Therefore, I will once again attempt to complete 20 pages this month. Wish me luck.

I am going to try and get some motivation to scrap this weekend. I need 48 pages to meet my yearly goal so that means 12 a month for the rest of the year.
So my goal this month is 12 wish me lots of mojo......

Agree I usually cruise through the gallery when DH is watching something on TV that I dont like!

I just love long weekends! No pressure to rush through Saturday I'm off to a SU! Open House just because I haven't seen the new catty yet and then plan to scrap.
I had a great August for getting scrap pages done and hope with upcoming VSBN it will continue in September

Mini VSBN wore me out so no scrapping yet and this weekend I've been getting the stuff together for our garage sale on Monday. DGS started a junior bowling league this morning. I'll be waiting for the main event to do more scrapping this month probably.
I played the "Find it Friday" game at Jessica Sprague's website last week and WON a $5 gift certificate to spend at her store! I was so shocked when I read my name on the news this week! I think the last time I bought something was over a year ago so this should be fun!
Some of you might remember the unique Swedish scrapper, Trent, who posts wrestling pages now and then from shows he and his kids attend. His wife scraps and he decided several years back to scrap the pics he gets of his family with various popular wrestlers. He really gets into it.
Haven't heard from him in quite a while, so I PM'd him to see how he was. He's been WAY busy living life, but had a few pages he hadn't uploaded, so he added them to his gallery. Check out his gallery if you get a minute. I'm sure he'd love to hear your comments. I get a kick out of his descriptions as well as his pages:

I invited her to come join us and I downloaded all the templates she had put up on her blog...Wendy there was a doggie paw one that was SO cute...I thought of you right away! She's leaving them up for a bit longer but she's not doing any more of them since not too many downloaded...but I thought they were all very nice.
Got almost all of my garage sale goodies ready to go and those that aren't, oh well! There will probably be a next time Now off to bed so I can get up by 6 to open the doors and take out the tables....
Tomorrow I also become a grandma for the 3rd time. DD has lasted and will be induced if she doesn't deliver between now and then...#2 grandson should be here by tomorrow night, if not sooner! Hopefully they'll take some pics and email me.
Sitting here with DH watching the Aggies play ... actually should say, he is watching the game and I am checking out galleries.
Wendy ... WOW is all I can say about Trent's gallery ... he is truly amazing! Might have to case some of his pages when I start to redo my boys' albums (they are in the old style, pull back the plastic, affix picture to sticky glue and cover back with plastic).

In 12 days four of us will be taking a Girls 2-Day Vacation and traveling to San Marcos for the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention! Last year was my first time going to a convention and I think I walked around with my mouth hanging open the entire day.
