MDS has some minor photo editing options, but nothing that advanced, great to learn digi with, at least for me as a first timer, it's straight forward, and easy to use. Plus you can always use elements from other programs in it, as long as they are a jpeg or png file. And vice versa, you can purchase downloads for MDS to use in the programs you already own.
You can print on pictures, I am assuming you mean a text overlay, if you have any other questions let me know. You can view a few of the things i have done on my blog in my siggy. Working on a calendar right now in it. And still hoping to put together a multi media project to present to hubby with our wedding song, and using webcam to record a message and just put in some pics from the years that I can transfer to a cd or dvd so he can have it with him when he is gone.

Morning Glories!
Feeling much less foggy in the brain this morning, hooray! Still sore from the accident but am soooooo grateful that she hit my wheel and not my door. Parked in "grateful" and "thankful" and "happy to be alive" and loving it! :-)
Here is a page I did last night... wish I coulda video-ed the process as I'm having some trouble with my shoulders so had to do some ****-a-maimee techniques for using my paper trimmer and Cricut cuts! lol
Good info. It sounds like a fun program. I need to check out their digi offerings.
Wendy just make sure you go through a demo's website or choose one when going through the SU site. SU, when they went online, decided to do pricing a little wonky. So you will see a price on an item and a preferred price. By going through a demo you get the better price. So don't be confused, not sure why they did this, but oh well.

I was going a bit stir crazy between naps! lol
My shoulders are so sore that it was sort of a new challenge to get the paper trimmer going. BUT, I am fueled by a thankful heart and happy, so happy, that I could walk myself to my scrap room and work on some scraptherapy!!! ;-)

Just joining in. I haven't been here since early in the year. I threw my goals out the window (around March I think) but I'm ready to start back up. I've been scrappin through the year but I couldn't begin to tell you how much I've done. As for October, I'm going to shoot for 20 pages completed. A friend and I are renting a cabin for the weekend to do nothing but scrap. What are the details of the scrap day on the 24th?
Thanks for all the info. I will probably get MDS since I am an SU! demo and really started all papercrafting with SU! so I'm at least familiar with their style, etc. Will hopefully be posting new creations soon.

Good Morning All...
I am here.... I am up but I don't know for how long. It is the second day of a really bad migraine and I am still feeling queezy in the tummy at sudden movements. I thought I would check out the digi challenge, because I can quietly set a do it....
I am trying to get an few things done in my house, since household chores and I have not seen each other much in the last five days. DH is still home... he is not back to work yet! Crazy life we live.....!
I got all my Swapping Christmas cards finished... And I am working on our own personal ones.
Here are 2 that I finished earlier in the month. Just have been crazy busy to upload. I am going to try to leave some love tonight while I'm packing up my scrappin stuff!
Do I have to upload my pages to the gallery for them to count? I would rather not to post them until I put pics on them and I don't don't do that except for every once in a while (I'll place a big order about every 6 months or when I get the money). I know, I scrap backwards - my pages come first and then my pics go on later after I order the sizes I need.
What is VSBN and is that what is going on on Oct 24th?

It really makes sense to me for you to get MDS if you're an SU demo -- that way not only can you learn it for your own purposes, but you'll also know more about it to advise your customers. I did a little research on it the other day and it looks like it comes with a lot of cool SU digital files to begin with. Let us know how you like it!!

Welcome back. This is the thread where you would post your goals and let us know as you finish the pages. You can keep track of the totals in your signature line, either monthly or yearly. I set a goal of 4 per month with that being 48 for the year, and as you can see, I've gone way over thanks to this thread and all the inspiration I get from it and the people here.
Lela is the one to answer about the 24th. But I think something will be posted in this thread Friday to let us know what's gonna happen.
This mom here is breathing much easier ... youngest son had been saving his money and he and some friends went to Cabo for his birthday on Saturday and were suppose to come home this coming Saturday the 24th. With the hurricane heading their way I have been worried. He called today and they were able to get a flight out today and he is currently in the air (I'm tracking his progress on a flight tracker).

You Scrappy Sisters know how to make a girl feel good! Thanks! It was one of those weekends where my youngest DS had plans all weekend, my DH wanted to work on his car & that left me to my own devices...scrapping and stamping! It was cool and rainy here so it was a great time to just stay in the scrap room! I'll upload more pages tonight....Scrap On!

yes, yes, they do worry you, don't they! It's good they are on their way home now and will avoid the storms! My oldest texted me from the College Med Center tonight where they were testing him for H1N1. I was 1/2 way to my car to go get him...he replied back they think it's bronchitis and gave him antibiotics....sigh.... thank goodness for hair color....:rolleyes:

Welcome Back! Terry explained perfectly about the goals/pages. I'll be updating the totals for the month so everyone can figure out where they are for the last 10 day push to get pages done.
To help us complete pages at the end of the month if we're running "short" for goal, we try to have "Mini Challenges". Sometimes it's just 1 or 2 and sometimes we extend it over a couple days for more....this month we will have 6 listed challenges. I am going to post them Friday and you'll have until midnight Friday, 10/30 to complete them. I will be giving "mini" prizes for the each challenge completed. They will be posted here in the goal thread.
I extended the "time frame" since it is VSN Mini Weekend so there will be some card challenge opportunities. I didn't want anyone to have to "choose" between them ;)

Not sure if you got your answer to this...but no you don't have to post your pages if you don't want to...all honor system...the goal is to just complete pages. Now we'd love to be inspired by you so if you don't want to wait for pics then feel free to post pages w/out. Sounds like an interesting process and you're probably a faster scrapper than I using that process!
Mini vsbn is here in the thread and that's the 24th. However, three to four times a year we have VSBN that lasts all weekend. It's listed on the main page and the next one is sometime in January.

I'm taking a new prescription of steroids for my bronchitis (Lela, make sure your son takes care and doesn't push to hard to fast! Mine has lasted since 9/1!). The meds are hurting my tummy just enough to keep me awake...so I'm off to leave some love in the gallery...maybe I can get caught up ;-)
