a clear photo pocket.. mine is for a 4x6.. one edge of the pocket has double sided tape
see the white strip down the left side..that is tape... so technically you could create a pocket with the window sheets for a shaker card ... a fuse tool.. and double sided tape
Egads! I love these things! I have a package in every size they make! Flippers! These are awesome for the extra photo that just has to make the pocket page spread!

Happy day and creating everyone
Yay for the timer. I used to do that at work - a timer to remind me to get up and move. Timer buzzes and  Oh yeah, get up and move a little bit. Yep.
I used a Fitbit last year and it buzzed every hour. They say, move every hour. An hour is a long time to sit when you think about it.

Joyce Ann, I would never have known that you had taped some photos together and resized them...your pages looked so great. I say do whatever works.
I also have always been a traditional scrapper but now like to incorporate pocket pages...and even some mixed media into my album/s. It's the only way I get to use my stash and try out new techniques.
Melissa, I forgot the timer...ooops...but have been moving around a fair bit.
I will post what I've done tomorrow when the light is better...the result didn't come out perfect, but I happy with it. I tried a new technique with my Gelli Press and paints and have made the page into a divider tag for my album. Love the gelli plate for mixed media...so cool.
Happy creating and going to check out the pocket page challenge now.

Yet again, you ladies are so good to me! You are really building my confidence and flooding me with more ideas. I'll go add those keywords too.
Here is a quick and basic traditional I finished today. DD had taken this shot of me at the zoo a couple of months ago. This ia a new spot they added to sit and "ponder". And another day in my travel album...I really need to cut down on the photos or this album is going to take me all year to create LOL. One of the pages I've included in the VSBN Nov/Dec daily challenge on trees. I may have to just post a few of my pages in the gallery too as a lot of these are a little bland...LOL and not sure you will want to relive my trip with me...
Happy Thursday...it rained and rained again...we did manage a walk.
Enjoy

Anybody up for some extra challenges?
Good Morning Everybody...
I am so excited that I get the day to Hang out here! I would like to do something fun to give my MOJO a boost, anybody want to play?
I thought, if it's okay, maybe I would post a few extra "Summer Fun" challenges from Annie's Pantry today.
We can start at 10:00am (Pacific Time) and every 2 hours, I will post a new challenge throughout the day. They can be completed anytime during the month, there will be prizes for most views and comments, and the gallery Keyword will be "APSFJUNE2018" and of course don't forget "sbc18jun"
Challenges:
1. 10:00 am ~ Is my inspirational challenge posted in post #14 entitled "Going Fishing" using the colors in the Jamaican fishing boats.
2. 12:00 noon ~ I have been thinking alot about my "OLW"- Strength lately and one of the things I have been enjoying doing here at the canyon is watching the birds. I see so much strength and beauty in them and here at the canyon we have a huge variety. Your challenge is to create a layout or memory board of something or someone that gives you "Strength" or inspires you to be stronger and a better person.

Sorry... I thought I would be able to post all my challenges in the same post. So here are the last three for the day.
3.2:00 pm ~ We are history buffs and we love to go exploring "Sketches" of ancient America. So for this challenge using a monochromatic choice of color and the sketch posted below design a page or two showing something that you have explored.
4. 4:00 pm ~ Summer Fun usually means BBQ's, picnics, Food and Family Reunions. It would be an Annie's Pantry Challenges if we didn't include a new fun recipe. Your Challenge is to go fumbling around in your leftovers (stash pile) and create a "summer salad" of a layout using our recipe as your guide. photos can family related or food related... Here is the Recipe (picture below)
Southwest Cobb Salad Ingredients
6 pieces Romaine lettuce (chopped into bite-sized)
Set each salad ingredient in a row across the bed of romaine.
Drizzle with a little dressing.
Using salad tongs, serve up a little of each section when plating, or toss everything together and then plate.
Serve with more salad dressing.
5.6:00 pm ~ It wouldn't be a "Summer Fun" Time if we didn't Celebrate with a little American Red, White and Blue. SO My challenge to all of you is for you to create a layout using the those colors and add a little Yankee Doodling (art journaling) to your page.
Remember: the gallery Keyword will be "APSFJUNE2018" and of course don't forget "sbc18jun"
Anavon....great idea and challenges. I'm not sure I will be able to play this time but i like the concept.
Lynn, I like your LO...just one thing that popped out at me was I would put an arrow or circle or something to link the photos back to the journalling or something just to ground them a bit more...or maybe as you have a butterfly some dots or dashes say from the bottom large photo (far left) up to the photo of you and around to the top of the journalling. Otherwise it's fine as it is...TFS
Have fun everyone. Very wild and windy here...I have to get organised for my craft day at a friend's tomorrow. Enjoy

I am thinking similar to what Jayne said, something to tie in the journaling box?

Hello Crafty Gals .... how's everyone today? It's raining and humid here today so perfect day to stay inside ...
I'm on a mission to build my card stash so I'm taking a Stamping Break today and working on cards For some reason my "card MOJO" has just not been present lately. I'm not complaining cuz I've got lots of scrapping done but ... need some cards! My stamps are sitting ....
Hope all of you are getting in lots of crafty time

I hope to finish up the project from my class yesterday with Julie Nutting. Yup! Wow, I got to meet her in person. Fun class. We were shown watercoloring techniques by Julie, and we are putting together a mermaid doll house.

That's awesome! I love to watercolor esp when I've done it in a class.
How fun to meet her

Happy Monday my dear scrapping friends.....I did more backgrounds yesterday using my Gelli plate and created another divider for my album. Off to my monthly craft group today and I'm taking my scrapping to do as about to start the London part....yay.
Joyce Ann, that would have been so cool. I bought one of her border mixed media stamp sets the other week...I didn't know it was hers until I go I home..lol. Not used it yet.
Have a great day everyone

Here's a tag I finished today as part of my travel album. I've started more pages and hope to post these later in the week as part of the VSBN-Nov/Dec challenges.
The pocket holds memorabilia of our visit including postcards that I didn't want to include on my pages due to bulk, plus I have my journalling on some of the postcards depicting our day.
Happy day

Oh, Jayne how inspiring your tags are! Makes me want to travel or at least pull out the photos I took in 2016 to AZ and do stuff like you!
I really need to go make some cards, but I keep making excuses rather than just go start. I saw something, probably at the Scrapbook store Saturday. Basically it was saying to just pull out some of your goodies and just play with them and inspiration will come.
I started crocheting a scarf yesterday. Today I sat on the porch for a while and when it just got too hot to bare I came inside. Continuing I took a selfie. Since I took a photo Saturday and Sunday I decided I'd continue to take shots for at least a week and make a pocket page.

I am back from my 4 day scrap retreat and managed to finish 22 layouts and have several others started! Couldn't finish them till I got back to my scrap room. So will be finishing them, too. But it has taken me all day to photo my 22, and still have to upload. Now, having computer problems! LOL
Hi everyone!

Joyce Ann, sending you mojo! But just so you know, that is a real record for me! Didn’t think I could do it! LOL I have always envied people who could get so many done, like Lela!

Hi Joyce Ann...thank you so much for your kind comment and in my gallery. I learn from you and all of the other ladies so it should be me thanking you.
I hope you do pull out your travel photos and make a mini album. If you need inspiration, just watch some of Ali Edwards December Daily videos...this is where I found my inspiration and she also uses tags as dividers. I just improvised with mine. I'm loving my gelli plate and why I decided to do tags as dividers as it enables me to play
I made so many cards during VSN and at other times that I fell behind on my scrapping. I seem to have mojo for one thing and swing between the 2 now but scrapping will always be my first love. I like the quote you saw in the scrapbook store and agree....just pull out your goodies and run with it. I bought an art journal last year and I find that inspires me as if I want to try something out I do it in my journal first and that helps to kick my mojo in....after watching youtube videos LOL.
I like the idea of a pocket page on selfies. Melissa's prompts help me if I want to do a pocket page. With my travel album I decided to use Lela's VSBN Nov/Dec challenges and modify them for my album. I'm up to trees and decorations LOL. I am finding the mini album quicker and not worrying too much about adding too many embellishments, but just want the photos and my journalling to tell the story of the trip where I can.
Joyce Ann, you are a fantastic creative person....so go for it....just get out your stash and play. We need a Virtual night where we can all just create together LOL.
Happy Tuesday

Fabulous!
I like the idea to journal on the back of the postcards about the visit to what the postcard depicts. Never thought of that. Duh.

Me too Melissa...just decided to do it recently lol. I also punched holes in a few postcards today and have them in the album as dividers....it's coming together in a happy mishmash way lol.
I got out my plastic sleeves for additional photos to find I need a fuse tool..doh..something else to buy.
I did create a couple more pages though and will post tomorrow.

Sewing machine? You can sew those pockets. Loose threads add wonderfully to the happy mishmash.

LOL....I'm laughing as I don't own a sewing machine but did ask hubby a couple of months ago if I could have one. He asked me why as I don't like sewing. I told him...for my scrapbooking LOL. Am I getting one...nope, but I guess I could handsew the pages together. Now that would be definitely a mishmash...is that a word? LOL.
Thanks for the tip though my friend.

Happy Wednesday....here's some more pages I made Monday and yesterday. I've not included them in my gallery as they really aren't using ink or paper LOL and I think I may clog the gallery up with my travel album LOL. I completed 6 more and 1 that I will put in VSBN17NovDec as it covers decorations.....I loved just using my white journalling pen and writing on the dark spots of the photos.
Melissa, I'm adding some large postcards that I simply punched holes in and wrote on the back what we saw, etc and included them in the middle of the pages.
TFL Happy day
