Great page and challenge, Michele. I promise to get to scrapping this week-end. I almost have my room back together. Tomorrow, though, I have a card making workshop with our encouragement ministry at church. Then, Friday, hopefully get room totally done! Then I am in business! Oh, unless my sister comes, she may be here from out of town! I forgot about that. Soon, though!

I bought the pre-made ones for my nieces for Christmas and they're ok but I like the ones I made much better. It's kind of a hybrid between a scrapbook and a journal- anything goes. I think the word smash come from the idea if you like something, just smash it in there. I'll post a pic of mine soon.

I see a few new faces since the last time I visited. It looks like the New Year is off to a good start........I finally finished a page for this year. I scraped a Christmas picture I received in the mail. Now I can not post it as I have not asked permission to display their family photo. Oh well, I had fun and am ready to get back at it for a time. I may post the half picture I took of the layout although it looks a little strange. I could blur the features on the photo.
I did make "kits" for 6 more pages, now all I have to do is sit down and get to work as I make a bigger goal commitment then what I was able to finish for last year.
Like several I read about here, I also made a commitment to Move More & Eat Less. It has been going pretty good so far. I still have not quite gotten down the fact that I am permanently changing my eating and exercise habits and not trying to lose weight fast so I can get back to my old eating habits.
I am headed off to check out the challenges too see what I can work into my next layouts.

I am anxious to get scrapbooking for 2012. I'm not sure exactly how many pages that I did last year, but I know that I am a very hit and miss scrapbooker at the best of times - whether I am scrapping digitally or paper I tend to do a lot all at once and then nothing for a long time. I would like to change that and get at least 10 pages per month done - 5 traditional and 5 digital. So my goal for the year is 120 pages total - whether it works out to exactly 50/50 traditional or digital I don't really care too much! I would like to make 75 cards this year - 40 Christmas cards and 35 others.

My craft room is a bit of a mess which is probably why I have been putting it off...maybe I will get to cleaning it up this weekend. I just completed my first page of 2012!!! Whahoo! I will upload tomorrow with the Inspriation challenge! Maybe now I can get started scrapping. I love my newly done craftroom and will upload photos as soon as DH hangs everything. I have to make up my mind where!

Thanks Sharon...it has been a pretty quiet evening in my house! LOL! Hubby and I are both BIG football fans...he likes the Steelers though...BUT, it's life...Rodgers couldn't win the game on his own and none of the other Pack showed up.

Great going getting pages done. I had planned on getting some pages done after church tonight, but instead we have been watching Abbot and Costello movies. Can you believe it? But they are good.

Thanks Sharon! Perfect page to start my 2012 Scrapbook. I have scrapbooks for both boys and 1 just for "my" pictures ... mostly work trips but I like to scrap all the places I get to go

I got one double page done tonight and one single layout too - 3 pages! Yay! I've been having a great time playing with Sale A Bration pre-order, so couldn't resist using it again tonight. Good way to get through the stash if I don't hoard it to start with right???
Love the challenge to use up some buttons! Also took my self up on my personal challenge to find a way to use Concord Crush cardstock today, AND used the sketch from SBSC295 for this one. What a great layout for beautiful wedding pictures from my daughter's best friend's wedding.
This is a lesson for me to stick around this forum - I'm having a lot of fun getting some pages done. Best part is I'm not stressing - pretty much picking the first layout I see, and then printing pics to fit and using up whatever strikes my fancy from the stash that is bursting at the seams!
Here is page 5 for the month. I see more traditional paper pages coming this week for sure! Tomorrow will be 5 weeks since I had a total abdominal hysterectomy, so I'm home recovering and finally feeling up to playing with the paper, stamps, inks, and fun stuff!

I am also a digital and traditional scrapper, although this past year I've done a lot more digi than paper. I do want to try and get more traditional pages done this year than in 2011. My goal is 120 also. Maybe we can help keep each other steady and on track with our goals!!

I find that I can do digital pages quicker and easier when I'm busy with a lot of other things. When I have down time (like right now) its easier to get into the real cluttery work of traditional. I love both!
