Congratulations on---WOW--18 pages!!! Hope we get to see them one day soon! That's fantastic. I can only imagine how you must be feeling, having to pack up your scrap room. Don't worry, though, your mojo will be even stronger when you get back to scrapping! Absence makes the heart grow fonder!!!

Okay - I am on my hubby's computer tonight while he is loading and starting up MY NEW LAPTOP!!!!!!!!! I'm sooo excited!!! I know it will take me a while to get used to it but I can't wait to have less junk on surfaces in my craft room - a huge thorn in my side . . .

On that subject . . . I finished 18 pages - yes 18 - in the last few hours. It was a bunch of almost finished, needed detail work, journaling, etc. Since my computer is down & I have no idea how to use my new photo editing software anyway, ya'll are going to just have to take my word for it. I promise - I finished them & even put them in page protectors . . . honest & for true - pinky promise.

Annnnnnnd - it pains me to say this . . . now I have to start packing up my scrap room for the move. I just couldn't start packing it until I finished up those pages. It would have driven me nuts thinking of those pages unfinished, taunting me from a storage facility . . . mocking me.

It makes me sad to pack up - but it feels good to know that I was at a stopping point. I'm really going to miss my craft room - I'm going to leave just enough out for the girls school projects & pack up the rest so the house is "showable". Those of you who have been through a move need to reassure me that it will be okay . . . I won't totally lose my scrappy mojo, right? I'm askeeered I'm not going to be motivated once I CAN scrap again when the move is over. Tell me it will be okay . . .

Sad - but necessary . . . right?
...I'm very confident you won't lose your SCRAPPIN' MOJO! As a matter of fact, I agree with Wendy, I think you'll be looking forward to scrapping again when it all gets unpacked..... Good Luck with move! I packed all of my stampin' / scrappin' stuff in plastic, clear cases and it was one of the first rooms I unpacked, LOL!!

I like the title Lynette. The hamock reminds me of fish nets (or are they?)

I did 18 pages last night, but wont count them because they were basically adding photos and notes to swap pages I had received from other people. I still need to dig into my OLD photos and see what I have in there to work with for challenges.

Well, I think you SHOULD count those 18 swap pages from last night . . . since the reigning philosophy around here is "done is done" and "get those photos in albums". You did both! Count em' girl!

I think PS6 is quite popular. If you use it, is there a reference book you would recommend purchasing? Thanks for any feedback.

Hey Lianne!
I do both digi and paper and i enjoy both equally. when we travel i like the covenience of digi but love comming home to paper and ink. the program i use is paint shop pro 8. very user friendly.

Mmmmm... I get that first fall sniffle and I KNOW it's time to stock up for that long winter hibernation-scrap-marathon! I don't know about your neck of the woods, but with all the heat and all the rain we've had this summer our ragweed is ATOMIC. good luck - get some drugs, stay inside and scrap! hee hee. I hope you feel better soon.

Hey gals, my scrappin mojo has waned (wained) sp? But I'm hoping to settle down into some kind of routine: yes I know routine? you say? I too am laughing hysterically at the thought. We start school full force tomorrow. Even dh's college classes resume tomorrow. I'll spend the week teaching the littles and finishing up the cards for mom. Haleigh's 7th birthday is next weekend so I'm hoping to have that little scrappy mojo back by then! I'm really disappointed that I know I won't meet my Aug. goal but I met it for the first 7 months of the year right? So I will get over it.

Mom and dad are coming for Sunday Super so I'll see y'all later. Hugs and scrappiness to all.

YUP! YUP! YUP! I started sneezing Friday night ... I was thinking this year for me it started later than usual so I had a few extra days of being out but you're right, recently with all the heat and rain...oh no! I'm stocked on for Allergy Meds and ready for a stay-inside-air conditioning-scrap-marathon!! Oh yes I am!

Although today....cards....LOTS of them. LOL! Back to scrappin'

Hello everyone. Just checking out everyone's pages since I was last on.
I, like Misti, have lost my scrappy mojo, stamp mojo and whatever other mojo you need for this papercrafting stuff. :-D
I don't have kids and I don't know how those of you who do are able to scrap. I've been interrupted lately by last minute "can you watch my kid or grandkids" from my family members. And, I'm very protective over my scrap and stamp stuff. So, I don't want to pull it out while the kids are here cause, they are just gonna want to get in the middle of it. Been there, done that, had the nervous breakdown! Don't get me wrong. I love those kids and they are most often the subject of my pages. I just want a little quiet time for me. School starts in a couple of days so, maybe then.

I finished the pages for my book today and now am frustrated because the posts I bought fit into the bottom bolt but the top does not fit into it! Are there different types? It did not look like there were multiple choices at JA this am when I went looking for them So question. I have a big 3 hole 12x12 book, what posts do I need? I do not know the brand of the book but I got it at Archivers so I know it is not a cheap one.

lmbo!!! If I worried about kids and my scrap stuff, yeah, I'd have to wait till they leave home. I ALWAYS have kids - not just my own - trapsing through the house. I have a table with a virtual barbed wire around it - nobody touch nothing on pain of death!

Ellen -

I'm so sorry. I discovered that little tidbit myself a few years ago when I finally ventured away from SU albums . . . the stinkin' page protectors don't fit!!

So, here's what you need to do. Find out the maker of your album. You need to stick with that brand of page protectors until you finish that book.

Pain in the rear, huh?

That's the way they keep us coming back, I guess . . .

EEK. THAT is annoying! :-(

I did just buy a little "no posts needed" thingie at Wmart for $4.97. It is to use instead of the posts in your album.......plastic tab thingies that click-lock into place.......running upstairs to find it............ "Snapload" by Pioneer "replaces scrapbook screw posts" ......good luck!!!

I will have to check on that. That is the kind I have on the military album, but I did find that once I unlocked it a couple of times to add the last few pages that I had to use heavy packing tape to keep it from popping out and coming loose again, so on those make sure you have everything in there the first time. Think I might just get another album! IDK. thanks for the advice.

The brand is Pulp. If found multiple websites, but no mention of extention posts :( Think I will just save this one for a smaller group of pages and move on......

Ellen -

I've used Snapload also (thanks for jogging my memory CK!) and it works well. About a year ago I switched to 3 ring binders so I'd forgotten. Yes - it works - solved the problem for any albums I already had . . . but then I swithced once I'd filled those up. I still have to be sure I have the right page protectors for the 3 ring binder but there seems to be more brands that cross over with 3 ring than with post.

Hey Ellen,
I live by an Archivers....want me to stop in and pick some up for the particular brand of book? I think I even have a 30% off coupon I can use for you.... at least you would be good for that one and then could decide...

That would be great. I apparently need another two sets of pages as well (or about 15 more) I am in Columbus Ohio. Archivers is up at Eastlake Mall (or somewhere) but I am never up there. If you could locate I will gladly arrange payment and shipping! You are an angel. I looked at all of the places on line but none listed posts....just books. Let me know. PM me and I will give you my phone # in case they may be willing to just take my order and ship directly to me with phone in CC #. That would save you the hassle.

Well...fortunately (or unfortunately  ??) I drive right by on my way to and from work. I'll stop tonight on my way home and see if I can get them to call & put it on your cc#. If not, no worries, I'll just pick up what you need and ship to you. Since I'm OH as well, you should have them on Wed.

Wink Ever had...

one of those moments you're sad and happy at the same time? Well, this morning was one of those for me. My sons went back to school 1st day today and my oldest is a Senior. I am so excited for him but just wish sometimes life had a "pause" button....I would so like just a little longer to enjoy these moments! He, of course, scowled in the picts I was taking... My youngest, a Freshman, posed for some fun picts! This is also another first for us as DS#1 is driving both of them to the High School so neither DH or I drove them to school....

Oh No!!! I feel an empty nest coming on....

This is great... a proud "Momma" moment. Sounds like all is well at your house.

Seems like over night... that DH and I went from one DS graduation to three in College this year. But it is a great feeling to know that everyone is headed in the right direction!
