Stamp-a-ma-jig Tutorial

2 Attachment(s)
I made this Stamp-a-ma-jig tutorial for those of you who have a one and are not sure how to use it and for those who do not understand how it works.

I have an Acrobat Reader(.PDF) file and I now have it in a Word(.doc) file.

Because the file sizes are so large, they may take a while to load. Depending your connection type.

I hope you find this helpful!
please answer the poll if you look at the tutorial.

I wish I had had this several months ago when I first got mine. I thought I would NEVER figure out how to use it and this tutorial would have made it so much easier. Thanks in advance for all those will use it.

You did a fine job..thanks, printed it out to share with friends. Love mine. I use it to replace words from stamp sets...it's great. Thanks again for all the work put into this tutorial...making copies for my friends.

Thanks!!

Stamp_at_will 02-24-2006 01:27 PM

WOW, I have looked at these for three years and asked myself how this could work to line up the stamps for everyone since we mount our own. I had NO IDEA how it worked. Not only did you explain it very well but you made a sale for SU. Thank you for the help and I wish I had known this three years ago.
You are awesome. And so is the stamp-a-ma-jig. Now that I understand it. LOL

Sarah, you have to have Adobe to downlaod PDF files. it 's free to download. I still have to right click and save target as... but it works!

Here's a link to Adobe

This is awesome!! I will use this for the customers that ask now! Thank you for sharing-- I love my SAMJ!

MadelinesMom03 02-24-2006 06:21 PM

Thanks so much Kurtis! I actually ordered one of these today and didn't have a clue how to use it, just figured I'd figure it out! Your step by step tutorial made it clear as a bell! Thanks for taking the time to do this!

InkStazOnMe 02-24-2006 06:34 PM

Great job on the tutorial! Very clear directions!

Great tutorial Kurtis!

creativechoicedesigns 02-26-2006 08:46 AM

Thank you so much for this. i have to show my upline because when i asked her they worked she didn't know either.

laderme 02-26-2006 08:56 AM

As a leftie, I would suggest that demos keep this in mind when demoing. To change for lefties, just position everything so that you stamp with the left hand and hold the ma-jig in your right. If true lefties try to use it stamping with the right, it gets very frustrating.

stampscout 03-01-2006 03:49 AM

Thank you for the step by step instructions. Can't wait to use my stamp-a-ma-jig now.

sherristampsalot 03-01-2006 07:51 AM

Oh wow! I was showing the SAMJ the other night and we were working with a small piece of CS and I told them it was a little tricky to keep it from moving...never even THOUGHT to use MONO to hold it in place. THANKS Kurtis!

prchvs 03-01-2006 07:55 AM

I always wondered what benefit that thing would have. Now I know! Thanks a lot!

I just stick the small piece of card stock to the sticky side of a post it note.
It gives you a large piece of paper to place the SAMJ on. When I'm done I attach the post it note to the plastic sheet so I always have it when I need it.

sperez 03-01-2006 10:06 AM

Thanks Kurtis

Great tutorial!! Now I can use this tool that I bought a year ago and after a little playing wasn't able to get it to work. Now I just pulled it out and YIPPEE I get it :)

Many thanks!

jnstampinmom 03-01-2006 11:31 AM

For some reason, I can't open it. I have Adobe, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
Thanks anyway, though. I'm sure it is very helpful. I have a SAMJ and have yet to use it.

Try opening the Word document that I just added.....if you have Word on your computer. If you have Open Office (downloadable at openoffice.org) it will run it also.

I love my stamp-a-ma-jig! Use it a lot!!
Great Tutorial Kurtis!!
I have a tip... I bought one of those plastic cutting boards that is like the piece that comes with the samj...I cut it in pieces and keep it with the stamp sets I use it with the most! Saves on re-stamping your image, cleaning it off etc ;)
