Default How do you record your card ideas?

Do you write them in a book, including card stock inks used dies etc,
Do you keep photos and just know what you did?
I'm keen to start a recording system and wondered what you use.

I browse the gallery here on SCS and pop the cards into my favorites. Just click the heart tab and the card goes right into your favorites.

I also use pintrest. I only pin the cards with the stamps I have, stamps I want to have or nice layouts.

I used one of these to draw card sketches: Canson Field Sketch Books | Drawing Paper - JerrysArtarama.com

I also love MFT's sketches and color challenges.

Here's the link to MFT's sketches that you can print out: MFT Printable Resources | WSC Sketches | My Favorite Things

Here's the link to the printable color charts:

I usually make a prototype or mock up of my idea. I heard a tip from Maile Belles (PTI Design team member) that has saved me paper and lost ideas. She said to take a regular piece of copy paper (8 1/2 by 11) fold it in half, then fold in half again and you have an A2 sized card front, times four. I love using this idea because I can work up four different ideas, or the same idea in four color schemes, making sure to note the ink colors, brand, stamp set, etc. I save the folded papers in the box I keep all my completed cards in. I have divided the box into the various stages of completion and one section is labeled "card ideas". Now all I have to do is flip through my box.

Once I've completed my cards, I take pictures to catalog them.

Pinterest is the easiest way, in my opinion. I set up Pinterest boards with headings such as General Christmas, Snowflake Cards, Grunge Cards, etc. - and also boards for some of the SU sets I have.

I have WAY too many ideas pinned on Pinterest and in my favorites on here. I also have a folder in my bookmarks with links to all of the different websites with card sketches.
