Today is the day that we delegate the weather forecast to a rodent. I read that he is only correct 39% of the time. Oh well it is a fun thing to do, but it does seem he could use some help. That is where the challenge for today comes in. My challenge is for you to make a mixed media project that either has a winter or spring theme depending on what you think or what you hope for.

Six more weeks of winter or an early spring?

More than showers here. Even as well equipped as those of us who cycle into work are, Monday was a deluge by any description.

I've gone with winter for this card but might do a spring one as well as the Canadian groundhogs are saying an early spring!

I chose spring as well, we're ready for it. A couple of weeks ago we were the third-coldest place in the world at -47C! This card used up a lot of scraps from some of our recent watercolor challenges, I have this thing about saving even tiny pieces of paper if I like the color or if it has something cool, so here I started by ripping a piece of watercolor that had been embossed, then added some stencilling, and punched flowers from other scraps and added them. It ended up being a celebration of all things pink!
