As I was looking through mixed media and papercrafting tutorials, I realized I have quite a To-Do list of things to still try and it goes back many years!!!!! So today, our challenge is to take a look at our lists and mark them off because we have 100 more days left of the year to complete them!

Great nudge to try out a tutorial that's been on my to-do list for a few months: MIX556 Birthday Two-Tone by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers
With the gesso and Twinkling H2Os it instantly gave me two mediums.
My results don't look the same as Chrissie's, but I'm happy with the card. I didn't have any rub-on interference mediums and had to sub. Maybe next time I'm in a craft shop I'll look for something like she used.

So a couple of years ago I started doing some faux metal embossing on heavy aluminum sheets, like oven liners, using stamps and also freehand work, but I never knew what to do with them. I'd take them out, look them over, love them all over again, then put them away.

Today's challenge made me determined to actually use one in a card. I filled the back of the pear with white glue so that it will hold its shape even if mailed, and daubed orange and burgundy inks over it to age it somewhat.

Super challenge. I wanted to try heat embossing with a stencil. It turned out better than I expected.
