Hello and welcome to another week of the Mix-Ability Challenge- your place to try new techniques or rediscover some old reliables! Whatever your style, we want you to know that you can do mixed-media! Any use of 2 or more mediums is Mixed-media!

This week, many of our children and grand-children are headed back-to-school or perhaps YOU are headed back to school! So, let's embrace all things chalkboard related!

Here are some ideas:
-Chalkboard Paint
-Dry Pastels
-Chalks
-Faux Chalkboard Technique
-Stamped Chalkboards

Just incorporate anything Chalkboard related for this week's MIX135!

My Sample:



Directions:
1. Paint patterned paper with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Chalkboard Paint using a foam brush.
2. Stencil sunglasses from the Mixed-Media Stencils 201 Collection using PITT Pastel Pencils & Add details.
3. Add handwritten sentiments with the same PITT Pastel Pencils.
4. Trim finished focal point & adhere to an A2 card front on an angle.
5. :cool:Add Washi tape and staples for an extra too cool for school vibe!

Here's mine.
I think I tried too hard to make it mixed media, it might look better with the chalkboard panel on a plain white background. But, aside from cutting my finger badly on a stencil , for a background I ended up rejecting (one of several rejects) I had fun!

I didn't have anything with the regular chalkboard type things, but I do have chalks and made this mostly out of chalk.

Well, here is mine. I committed to this challenge because I thought that in the last few months I had picked up some little blackboard labels. I spent most of today looking for them. Never found them! So, watched the tutorial on SCS!
