I got my P Touch yesterday, and have been busy putting my thinlits and framelits on Stamp n Storage magnetic cards, and making labels for them.
My question is: what do you do with the leftovers? I'm basically talking about Stampin Up dies.
The piece of cardstock with that awful strip of tape is definitely going in the recycling. But, what about the thick plastic envelope they came in? I have some of the originals with a snap closure, and lots with the flap tuck closure. Does anyone have a use for them, or should they go in the recycling as well?
While I decide, I am saving the insert in the envelope. My thought was in case I cut out extras of something, I can store them in there. I don't know if that will ever actually happen.
There's also the clear bag the whole thing comes in. Any use for them?
Thanks for your help.
I use the thick plastic envelope for a variety of other storage items....dots that I use to mark items already owned when a new catalog comes out, ideas for cards divided by theme, seasons and other weird labels that my brain thinks up, I use my handy dandy label thingy to label envelopes as to contents....Clear bags are saved if no label on the outside....if there is --I toss it.

I can't remember where I read it, but someone said they use the plastic envelopes- and the ones that Sizzix Thinlits come in- to store extra die cuts. I thought that was a great idea, and am putting mine into them.
That was my first thought. I wasn't sure if I would ever do that.
I'm thinking now that I might do it for things like flowers and butterflies. Probably wouldn't do it for others, where the color is decided when I make the card.
So, it would make sense to store them in the thick envelope, behind the matching magnet card.
I think I'll use the others for scraps, and label with my new P touch.
Thank you for the ideas!
