Default Question: Re: SU DVD Cases

Hi All,
I am in the process of unmounting my wood mounts to clear. Could you please let me know how many stamps sets you can fit onto an SU dvd case. Can it hold stamps on both sides? I have a lot of SU stamps. Just wondering if any of you have any info that could help me. Also I am a visual person, so a photo would be great. Thanks in advance :p

Cindy,

I'm not sure what DVD cases you are talking about. Do you mean the Clear Mount Stamp Cases that Stampin' Up! sells?

Cindy, the SU clear-mount cases inside is roughly 5 x 7 x 1/2". I would say, one layer of stamps with the foam attached.

Yep I agree...I put all of my UM stamps into SU cases, and the Papertrey or other clear cling stamps will fit on both sides of the case, but any with foam attached will only fit one layer if you want it to close securely and not crush any rubber.

Almost all of my SU sets fit in one case, but Unity usually ends up needing two cases.

I use the accent paper on top of cases to match up similar or the other half of the sets when I label them. This pic is one side of my UM stash...so I don't know if there are any doubles in it to explain, but the paper strip on top is how I do it.

Thank you all. I did mean SU cases. I was just wondering if I could mount on both sides of the case. I think the answer is no, so again thank you. I just need to scale down since I might be moving to a much smaller place.

You can use both sides of the SU cases if you use the thin black ez mount. That is what I have been doing to maximize space.

gee, I use both sides of my cases and I keep my SU stamps on the foam the company puts them on. I don't have any problems with them...

I have some with one set and some with two sets. Depends on the size of the set.

I also use them for Nesties and wheels. 8 regular wheels or 4 jumbo wheels fit into one SU case.

Sorry, Cindy - I didn't see this thread before I posted to another one on the same subject. That thread is HERE and answers your questions, pretty much...

I searched SU's site high and low, and I cannot find the cases for sale.

Have they been discontinued?

Ikea. Normally $9.95 each (hold 29 DVDs) but found them on sale of $4.00 each. Bought 6; liquid nail glue together and mounted on the wall. I had planned on painting or staining them (wood) and mounting wheels on the bottom to make them mobile...but at the last minute I went with natural and on the wall.
