Very cool! I love it. I don't have many, but they are difficult to store.

I finally stepped up and purchased these -- love them!!! I even got a label-maker for the spine.

I love having the Nestabilities safe and sound and easy to locate and use. It was even fun putting them in the folders.

Also, I stored my A Muse dies in one and PTI in another.

This looks awesome! I keep mine in the QuicKutz magnetic folders. They're meant for storing that brand of dies, but they work perfect for my Nesties. I used my label maker to make labels to attach under each set of labels.

I am struggling right now with which way to go on this. I got one of the SU storage boxes and decorated it with the intention of storing just like the OP did.

But a friend of mine did these earlier this year, and I was thinking of doing it this way instead: Live, Laugh, Love with LunarLana: Organizational Tip

I have a bunch of sets, so I'd need to order a few more of the CD holders (I have several already!) to complete it. (And eclecticpaperie had them on sale last time I looked, too!)

I can't decide which one to do....

thanks for the link. I just ordered some CD folders and can't wait to give it a try. I have mine on magnetic sheets in a plastic container that is bursting at the seams.

This is the direction I went with my Nesties storage. I found baskets at Hobby Lobby that coordinated with my room's color. I mounted the magnets to Chip Board and put the Chipboard inside a folder. That way if a small dies gets loose it should end up inside the folder or at least remain inside the basket. I will label the folders and put a sample cut on the outside. The larger dies end up on a sheet by themselves, the regular size dies are stored two sets to a folder. I used vent covers for the magnets, cutting them down to fit the chipboard.

I had tried to use the Quickkutz folders, but that was getting expensive. I think I was up to 9 or 10 folders when I realized this wasn't going to work.

I also did the same system for my Quickkutz dies but in a separate basket.

The Memory box dies come in their own envelope so I'll use that and keep them in a basket also.

LOVE this idea, especially that they are somewhat enclosed both in the folder and the basket.

Where did you order the CD folders? Is that what they are called, is it an office supply product?

I use these from Home Depot
Magnetic Vent Cover

You get 3 8"x15" sheets for $4.50. They don't have adhesive back.

just got my first die cut machine so I'm new at this.

I'm storing mine in a gorgeous box very close in size to the CM box. I just refolded the Spellbinders' cardboard folder so the double stick tape is on the inside. I

I don't have many dies yet, but I thought I wanted to store all the dies and emb folders in one place.

I hadn't thought of dividers... couldn't I just cut mat board and put the magnetic sheets on that?

There's where I got my magnet sheets....very economical. I cut them to size and used my red sticky tape (double sided tape) to adhere to cards.

Okay NOW I get why y'all are using magnetic thingys. I only had two nesties so far and they were sticking to that double stick tape and coming off okay. Of course I've only had them a few days (I thought I was being so smart and so thrifty :rolleyes

I bought another nestie today and geeze that thing is stuck on there like cement! I finally got it off and there's sticky tape residue all over the metal.

I bow to your vast experience and knowledge O' Wise ones. Tomorrow I'm going to Home Depot for magnetic sheets!!!! lol

So I'm thinkin' I should listen to y'all about the hanging folders too. Wonder if I could take some I already have and jury-rig them to fit my box? I'm thinking I could raid DH's shop - there's all kinds of cutting and taping things in there.

I find if I don't see it, I forget I have it - yes I do have too many playthings! - so I changed my nesties system from having them in a box on magnetic strips which didn't work for me as I rarely put them back - yes I am unfortunately a messy stamper.

I had a couple of unused corkboards and my nesties are held on by drawing pins, visible at all times and so easily returned. Basically, works really well.

I love this idea. I don't have any nestabilities yet, but I do want to get some of them soon. This would be a great way for me to store them.

Default Nesties storage

I already had them on magnetic sheets so I ordered the CD folders and love, love, love them. Now they are labeled and neatly stored. I just purchased a square plastic container (pink of course) in the dollar spot at Target. The CD folders fit perfectly.

It comes rolled up in a long box (the same shape as a saran wrap box). It has a sticky backing, which I removed. I slapped the sheet on the wall. (Hope I don't lose my damage deposit over that!) Anyhow, I can see my nesties (if I don't see things, I don't use them), they're easy to get at, and they don't take up precious desk, floor, or bookcase space!
Maybe you could have mounted the magnet onto foam core board and then place in a frame. That way you could take them with you if you move. Command makes picture frame holders that are removable.

I had the same problem until I switched to SU magnetic sheets. I previously bought mag sheets at Michael's but they wouldn't hold.

One problem I was having was that the it was hard to get the nestie to lift off the sheet and a friend of mine did something a little different. Instead of a full piece of magnet, she used strips. It saves money and she can lift the nesties off easier. I'm going to redo mine.

Here's how I organize my dies....I didn't include pictures of the Spellbinders Dies, but it's basically the same:

I have the exact same problem! I dont want everything out but this was one thing that I thought would be kinda cute to display...I have so few sets that it wasn't really an issue and I never used them because I had them put away so I thought, for the time being, them being out would remind me to use them.

Mine are on white scalloped metal boards I got from A Muse Studio. I hung those on my wall and used little butterfly magnets I made to hold them up on the magnetic boards.

My JoAnn's carries those boards in lots of colors.

I just finished my basket:

The nesting sets are on the left and the single shapes are on the right. I have plenty on room for more. In the future I will right the manufacturer's info on the back or inside.

Just thought of something! I bet if I checked out the local thrift store, I could find one of the horrendous over the couch pictures that were so popular during the 60s & 70s. They usually had a nice wooden frame and a cardboard print inside. Bet that would work with adhering some foam board inside the frame and then I could use T pins to hold my nesties, all in plain sight.

hmmm..... thinking of all the places I could start looking for those pictures.

I was just out there today and saw that! Now I know where to get any more when I need them. I hadn't seen them at our Jo Ann's before but we had the 2 little stores close and they built a nice, new one with way more stuff. Loved all the colors they have.

I love your basket idea for your nesties....very nice!!

I am remodeling my craft room and I am repurposing several old picture frames!

Some ideas are:
* making them into corkboards (by either purchasing a large board and putting a frame around it or buying corkboard in a roll or squares and attaching it to the picture)
* making them into magnetic boards (I made one by attaching some metal flashing to the backing already on the frame and then covering it with the same wallpaper I used in the room but fabric or just leaving it metal is great looking)
* making them into peg boards (just buy pegboard at the hardware store and paint it to dress it up)
* making them into dry erase boards (altho this isnt good for nestie storage! haha)

I love your basket! I have a similar one that I use to keep my finished cards in. Two rows just like yours. I keep my dies and embossing folders all in one place too. Just like the original poster only I don't have hanging folders because I used a decorative box that I already had. I have just plain folders and I can keep extra cutouts and embossed pieces in the folders too, along with the die sandwich directions.
