Default 12x12 hanging file storage

I would like to store my DSP in hanging folders, preferably in a drawer that can close. I've seen people adapt systems where the paper sits above the top of the hanging file but I don't really like that. I want to be able to open it and read down all the tabs for which paper I want. I think some people have been able to use the IKEA Galant set for this but now can't find it. Anyone have any ideas on what would work??

Kareem, this isn't exactly what you're asking for since it doesn't close. But you could make a cover for it. : )
Just today Texas Grammy posted a reminder that the gallery has craft room and organization sections. Stampin' Sue happens to use the Advantus cart that I do.
I like it a lot, especially that it's on wheels so easy to scoot out (or alternatively I scoot to it on my wheeled chair).

Mine is turned so it's not sideways but it's on casters so can face how you sit. I keep two favorite paper stacks underneat the folders; more probably wouldn't fit. The Amazon page shows three photos that buyers posted down and to the right. It would fit under a Galant.

But look at post #20 on this old thread about Galant and 12x12: 12x12 file system by snowcountry311 at Splitcoaststampers

And here's the Advantus:

I saw post #20 but don't like that the paper goes above the top of the hanging file. I've also looked at the Advantus but want something enclosed.

The paper us about 1" lower than the top of each file folder in the folders I linked you to on Amazon since I think they're 13" folders? I don't know what's being used in the Galant - just did a quick search to see if it would help.

The mesh file cart is what I have. I love it! I don't have the deep drawer. I use 2 narrower drawers on mine.

I have one of these and have added hanging files sold by Recollections for the files file cabinet (which is generally not well regarded).

I need more and then I might ask my husband to build a dolly to be able to more it around.

I bought mine at Micheals. You have to buy the folders seperately but they fit the cubes so well. I have stacked 2 high and used a door for the tabletop. Works super.

These are all pretty cool. I use a plastic one I bought years ago with files on top and two drawers underneath. Back then I think it cost was like $15. I use it to store my scraps by color. If they get too full, I either diecut to lessen the amount, or I just pitch some. Find it very useful. All my cardstocks are in magazine holders, laid on their side and put in a wood shelf unit. By laying them on the side, I can pluck out what ones I want to use easily. You just have to watch that the shelf doesn't get direct sun.
