It’s my great honor to be able to thank you for serving our country. You're the epitome of what we are, strong, brave and free.
You portray what we Americans value most...freedom. Thank you for your commitment and bravery. May this card help bring you good health, clarity of mind and the courage you need to be successful. You are all heroes to us!
I cannot find the words to express how grateful and proud I am that you are putting yourself in harm's way to protect our country. The U.S.A. is the land of the free and the home of the brave...but only because of courageous people like you. We wish you and your fellow troop members complete safety throughout your tour of duty. May you return home soon to a true hero's welcome.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I would appreciate some...
I have found that I use Vellum to print my verses. I then use small glue dots in the corners to paste them on the inside of my card. They hardly show up and the vellum looks nice and professional looking. The vellum fits into my printer perfectly. This way I can use whatever color of ink and font I like for that card. I have gotten a lot of positive comments on the cards I have done this with.
I PMed you a couple but here is another for a new dad it's funny
Spread the diaper in the position of the diamond with you at bat. Then fold second base down to home and set the baby on the pitcher's mound. Put first base and third together, bring up home plate and pin the three together. Of course, in case of rain, you gotta call the game and start all over again. Jimmy Piersa
I didn't know exactly what this meant? It depends on how the stands. I find it doesn't weigh the card down so it slides flat. Thanks for the help. I don't have very good handwriting, but maybe I can use a font.

Not sure this is the place to ask, but does anyone have a sentiment for a father's day card for a son? I always make my son's fathers day cards, but now I can't seem to find any decent sentiments for them. Any help is greatly appreciated.
If you look at post #1, it has tons of sentiments for everyone. I found this one there, thought it appropriate for father's day: Thinking of what a great son you've always been, feeling proud of the father you've become, wishing you the special joy you deserve.

Welcome Judy and if you see any errors please let me know. I have corrected some, but you know how it goes....you read something so many times, you just don't pick up the small things. Enjoy!!!

Thanks to all who have contributed to this and especially to Delia for starting it and creating the spread sheet. I always find it hard to find sayings for inside of cards. Here's one I used for my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary. Hope it isn't a repeat.
For fifty years you have
celebrated life together with all
its joys and challenges, and
today we want to celebrate with
you the joy and happiness
of this special occasion.
I think this one is new. I will add it to the list and hopefully update soon. I have a bunch of new, I am just sorting through them, and taking spaces out to make it fit better on the sheet. Almost done, maybe by the end of the week if my work stops getting in the way. LOL Thanks so much.

I have been keeping a little log as well on an excel spreadsheet of sentiments found in the back of magazines. Hopefully y'all will find them useful as well.

This is awesome. If you don't mind, I will incorporate this one into mine and get rid of any repeats. I will update the the links as soon as I do that. Your format makes it easy for me to, thanks so much for sharing. Many hugs Delia

Haven't been on in a couple of weeks. Just getting my son ready for K, where did the time go. I have been working to get the a bunch of new sentiments up. I am hoping to do this soon. Thanks again all for your contributions.
This is a wonderful idea - I am always struggling for what to put
in my cards. Thank you SO much for this list.
Here are a couple of quotes that I've used in sympathy cards.
They're a little longer than the ones I see in the list, but they were
perfect for my needs. I hope someone else can use them.
Love Lives On
Those we love are never really lost to us--
we feel them in so many special ways--
through friends they always cared about
and dreams they left behind,
in beauty that they added to our days...
in words of wisdom we still carry with us
and memories that never will be gone...
Those we love are never really lost to us--
for everywhere their special love lives on.
~ Amanda Bradley ~
Never does one feel oneself
so utterly helpless as in
trying to speak comfort
for great bereavement.
I will not try it.
Time is the only comforter
for the loss of a mother.
Jules Renard
