Nestabilities Sizing Chart
2 Attachment(s)
Here is a chart of all the sizes of Nestabilities dies by Spellbinders. I updated it February 9, 2011 and as more Nesties are released I will update it as necessary.
Hope it helps. **The newest files are below as well as on page 2 of the thread. They include the Winter 2011 Release. ** ~Nikki |

My Big Fat Thank You!
Thank you so much for sharing this in a post. You have saved me a ton of time!

Nikki,
Thank you so much! :) This is really helpful... -Jennifer |
What a great idea. Thanks for posting this. Can I ask a question? I recently bought the Petite Scallop Ovals Small and later bought the Petite Ovals Small. I was disappointed to find that they don't nest properly, by that I mean that there is only a tiny overlap when I use the oval with the scallop oval one. Should I have bought the Big Scallop Ovals Small or Large instead of the PSOS. I hope I have explained that clearly.

Nikki- Thank you so much for the great list. It is incredible.
|
Great idea, thanks for sharing it
|
Again this saves so much time.

You're welcome, ladies! I'm glad it helped, I'm updating it to include the latest release of Nesties, including the Nesties grand dies.
Does anybody, by chance, have the long classic rectangles, small? If so, could you measure them for me, so I can add them to the chart? Thanks I'll post the new list when I'm done :) |
This is the size of the rectangles:
1: ⅝ x 1 1/2 2: 1⅛ x 2 1/2 3: 1⅝ x 3 1/2 4: 2⅛ x 4 1/2 5: 2⅝ x 5 1/2 |

Nikki (and anyone else who might be interested)
There is a FREE program called Cute PDF that converts anything into a pdf file. Go to CutePDF - Create PDF for free, Free PDF Utilities, Save PDF Forms, Edit PDF easily. After you download the program, it shows up in your list of available printers. To convert a file to a pdf, you select Print, and then select CutePDF Writer as the printer. A window opens and asks you where you want to save the file. Save it wherever you want to, and voila! You've just converted a Word doc, or an email or a web page tutorial or anything into a pdf. Nikki, see if this solves your line and column problems! And, thanks for the Nesties charts! |

|
Thank you :)
|
Thanks for that chart! Such a big help (especially now that I'm totally hooked on Nesties) LOL
|
wow thats amazing! thank you for your hard work!
|
Nikki, love you sizing charts. When will you update since there are several new labels available. Thank you soooooo much.
|
I'm working on updating it now. I am totally redoing the file so it doesn't take so many pages to print it out. (It looks like 4 or 5 pages, verus the 9 it would be if I simply updated the original) Also, as I am going back through it I noticed quite a few typos and a couple errors. Those will be corrected. I plan on uploading the new file on Monday (the 3rd) or perhaps Sunday, the 2nd. It will include the newest releases, including the new Grand Nesties and the latest labels.
It won't hurt my feelings if you crafters point out any typos or errors if you see them! I'm not very good at editing (obviously)! |
thank you for doing this!
|
A huge THANK YOU for doing this Nikki.
|
Nikki, Thank you so much. This is so very helpful. Appreciate it!

If you are wanting to layer with the Petite Scallop Ovals Small and have a bigger space between the layers, you would want to buy Petite Ovals Large. This will give you more space between the scallop oval and the plain edge oval. You don't want to buy the big scallop ovals to layer with it because the scallops on the big scallop ovals are totally different and wouldn't give you the look you are after. Here is the link to the Petite Ovals Large: Petite Ovals LG - Spellbinders Paper Arts - Spellbinders I'd recommend buying it at someplace other than directly from Spellbinders. If you buy them at Joann, you can use a 40% off coupon - same with Hobby Lobby. Online try Scrapbooking Alley, Cut @ Home, Oh My Crafts, or Scrap-Mart. Hope this helps, and sorry I didn't see this before! |
You're welcome, ladies! It is my pleasure.
|
Also the updated chart will list the NESTED Shapeabilities as well (trees, mittens, bats, etc etc)
Is there any interest in sizing charts for other dies from Spellbinders, or even from another company? Just let me know...I love doing this kind of thing. |
Also, a great add-on to the sizing chart is the Spellbinders Grid With Images by Brenda:

This is a great tool. I appreciate it b/c when I purchased my first sets the person working at the booth misdirected me so my circles and scallop circles don't fit right together. I was so dissappointed. I love the layer and there is way too much area that they don't look right.

New Files!
3 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone,
Here are the new files The files now contain all 135 sets of Nestabilities and Nested Shapeabilities, including the exclusive dies at ScrapyLand, Scrap-Mart, Heartfelt Creations and Just Rite Stampers. There are 3 kinds of files. The first one is in the same format as the original, only it is updated now. It is 11 pages long. The second type of file is laid out in a table, spreadsheet style. The file has 2 versions - one has shading on every other row, and the second does not. All 3 files are available in a Word Document, read-only OR in PDF (minus the line down the page like the original! :o ) Enjoy! |

The other three files.. :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to post this information.

If you want to layer without too large or small a space in between I suggest a large set with a small set - so Scallop Circles Small with Classic Circles Large...to me it layers just right. However I also highly recommend purchasing full sets - so both sizes classic circles and both sizes scallop circles. It gives you more range in layering.

Thanks for the updated chart
|
I am glad to see these can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or Joann's. I want to see them before I make my first buy. There are so many available, I want to see them in person. Thanks for all the questions and answers.
